Tweed Valley? You’ve got Glentress (centre and off piste), Innerleithen (centre and off piste), Innerleithen DH uplift, Gypsy Glen, Innerleithen golf side, Yair, Thornilee, Cademuir (forestry work happening there just now, so depends when you’re coming up). Lots to choose from.

Whiteroom. Best trails I’ve ridden, going back for the 5th time. Only a few places left for this year mind you.

Yeah starts if you go past the start of the usual one if that makes sense. Also, if you go further past it on the fireroad and hook up the the start of the older one in the wood, that then joins up with this trail too.

That’s ‘Daves Trail’ I think. A great little section a Peebles local built. Bumped in to him one time, nice fella. Starts near the top of The Fort.

Guilty? Why would you feel guilty about not riding a bike? You didn’t want to do it, so did something else. Simple as.

It’s funny, when I first used 750mm bars I didn’t really notice a massive difference. Then tried my other bike after a few rides on the 750mm bars at the 685mm bars felt horrible! 750mm works for me. Some it won’t.

I got a demo bike for the whole weekend free, but this was the importers demo bike the shop got. If it is the shops own bike, can understand it.

I’m planning DHR II for my next set of tyres. Am I right in saying that there only a DHR ‘II’ and just a DHF? No DHF II? I like my Maxxis tyres (usually HRII’s) but do find it a bit baffling on their website all the different versions.

Worst tyre I’ve ever used. No idea why people buy them. They are utter shit.

I bloody love mine. Had it about 9 months now. Raced it, Alps’d it, ride it every weekend. It’s a blinder of a bike. Climbs superbly and a total hoot pointing down the way. Can’t recommend it enough.

Has that got double disks at the front? Still better looking than an Orange…

Just a tougher one I guess. Feel it’s worn pretty quick, so was wondering what the options were really.

Mine are covered scuffs and marks. In direct line of stones, rocks, my ham fisted gigarad riding style.

It gets duller each year. Only watched a bit, got bored, changed channel. And those engines sound so shit.

    Aviemore.

    Torridon.
    Stirling.
    Tweed Valley.
    Cairngorms.

    That’ll do for starters.

Was going to say Thomson. That’s what I’ve got, superb bars and very limited graphics. Hate stuff splattered in graphics personally.

From the very top down to the top of the Ski slope is a larf. Not the longest, but a steep little bugger with twisty singletrack. Over did it one summer and ended up removing skin from both wrists, knee, shoulder and forearm. Ground was so dry it was like sliding down cheese grater…

I also have Thomson Trails. They steer and steer well, so doing the job correctly. More importantly, they look swish. Sorted.

I ride there all the time and have no idea what they are all called. Usually I call them ‘you know, the steep one with the twisty bit and trees’ To which I usually get told ‘that’s pretty much all of them.’
