Lolz at people moaning on the internet about people wasting time and not being interesting on the internet

Looks pretty ugly to me. But then Cotic’s don’t do a huge amount for me.

No Troll and not aimed at TJ. Some of the riders I see in Edinburgh are taking so many stupid risks. It’s a red light, so just stop. Whats the big deal? Running across the pavement pushing bike to avoid the red light, then getting passed by me as they turned green and their still clambering back on their bike. Great way to save two seconds doofus… Hopping on and off pavements, some **** just about wiped out my sister as the left a restaurant the other week he was speeding down the pavement. Don’t start me on the trams either…

Good. Some of the Edinburgs cyclists are nuts quite frankly.

Shimano SLX brakes are acearama. I’d go Shimano every time.

You ALWAYS go on about setting them up properly TJ. I’ve never had to ‘set up’ my Shimano’s as they work perfectly from the very start. No set up, no faff. I (and everyone) know how you feel about the Hope brakes, but why do they need so much ‘set up properly’ time when any other brake I’ve used doesn’t?

If it has to have a 5 in the name, try a 5 Spot.

Only one way to find out which is best for you and not everyone else and that is to try them out. I used to ride SPDs all the time, tried flats and been with them since 2006. Use SPD for getting to work, but much prefer flats for all the off road biking I do. Know plenty who hate them and plenty who love them. Like I said, only one way to find out which you like best. And my opinion of Mallets etc, is try a proper flat. The cage SPDs aren’t anywhere near as good in my experience.

Just look after you shins and calves if your foot slips…

Going by the amount of ‘shimano’ tape on trees there yesterday, could be quite a lot of the lower sections. I’d probably avoid this weekend. Was riding ace yesterday though. All dry and a cracking day. Even the enduro sections were dry!

Is it a Mac you have? If so, you can migrate your old Mac onto your new Mac and it’ll pull everything over as it is. All settings, prefs etc. Or copy your iTunes library onto an external hard drive (if you have one) and then plug in into your new Mac/PC and copy it back over. Just take the library file too so it keeps all your playlists etc.

One of the first ones the day it was built 4 years ago. Not as clean as that now, but still a fantastic wee bike.

I run all mine for as long as I can out of them. Currently mech, chain rings, cassette and chain on both bikes are about 4 years old. Mech if a tad wobbly side to side on one of them, but it all works fine, no slipping gears. Nowt. Just see how much longer it all lasts as usual. I never measure the ‘stretch’ either. Someone did a few years back and said that needs changed. I never did and it’s still going a-okay.

Until of course the seals fail – then its scrap.

And the answer to that is simple. My Shimano’s have never needed spares. Thus they ain’t scrap. Hope offer loads of spares because they break? Is that the reason why they are so many spares available?

    Shimano. Everytime.

Hi everybody, thanks for the heads up! The site is currently not performing as fast we would like on Sundays due to heavy traffic. We are working 24/7 to solve it. No workouts will be missed, just try to login in a few hours. Thanks for your understanding!

I only impressed with the fact they made a very ugly frame look even more ugly.

I ride every weekend and ride in Scotland. We have plenty mud. I just choose not wash them much.

I don’t see the point them washing every ride. I think I wash mine every about 2-3 times a year.

Not been impressed with Gerrard of late. Last few games you never hear his name. But he does have a cup in his hand now.

Gold and black M4’s, guff, never again have Hope brakes after they left me in a heap, bleeding, rear mech ripped off after a lovely lever to handlebar to no brakes whatsoever moment. Ain’t doing that again. Shimano all the way for moi.
