Pointless thread. They’d both be great achievements, but I couldn’t care less who wins the TDF as I never watch it, have no interest in it and find it incredible dull. Quite like watching tennis and want Murray to win. Will be tough to do so though. But folk can find tennis dull.

Of course people use clipless. Doesn’t matter about the benefits. All about what you prefer to ride in.

If that’s what floats your boat, then go for it. Personally think it looks pretty daft to be honest.

Love my TW Steel TW4. It is chunky, but available in two sizes. £365 in the shops, but found one online for £285.

I love my biking, just back from the alps in fact. But I doesn’t rule my life, plenty other stuff to do that just think about bikes.

Who cares. It’s a bike. Ride it and have a larf. Stop over looking it all, it’s just pedalling.

Or buy an Orange 5 and have an British bike that fixes everything. Apparently.

Nice wee bike. That BFE logo is… odd and the metal logos on the down tube look cluttered against the brand logo (seat tube surely?), they look a tad guff, that’ll be my job (work in an ad agency) point of view getting involved! But I’m sure that won’t stop it being a fun bike!

Only benefit The Hub had was sitting outside was nicer than The Peel. Hated sitting inside The Hub and it was shithole. Apart from that, they are just cafes. Last thing I worry about when I’m there to ride me bike.

dont know about most stupid, but this is the funniest one at the moment:, maybe you dont get it in Englandshire?

Glad you like it! Ad agency I work for, we made it.

    What a rather pointless thread.

Jeez, that 5 is an awful colour. Would look better in a polished ally effect silver powder coat…

If Edinburgh hadn’t bothered with the complete waste of money that is the trams, they could build the chairlift and have £995,000,000 left for free inner tube patches at Innerleithen. Genius, I should work in politics.

Well now you know it’s better than Spooky Wood.

Now go find ‘Broon Troot’ for the bestest trail there.

You’ve been going for years and never done the black?!

Spooky Wood is… average, but Caddon Bank is soooooooo much better. I’d do GT black boundary trail over Spooky Wood. That is an ace trail that wipes the floor with Spooky Wood.

And plenty of trails at Innerleithen if you go a looking. There is loads of awesome trails off the ‘trail centre’ route that tick all my style of riding. A few of them near vertical!

I’d do Innerleithen every time over GT as it’s a fav of mine. But GT has plenty aceness to offer of course! If you’ve been to GT before, then go try something new. You’d have time to go back and have a play at GT afterwards.

Let’s face it if you drove to Glentress and forgot your helmet you’d still do your ride wouldn’t you?

No. Already had a serious head injury about a year and a half ago, fail to see the point in putting myself in the position of getting another one.

I did forget my helmet a few weeks back. Alpine Bikes gave me a loan of one. Top fellas.

If you already have a modern smart phone, I wouldn’t bother. It is basically an oversized smart phone without phone calls. Ive had the same thoughts as you but decided to spend it on things that I’d get more use from.

This is all wrong. I have an iPhone and recently bought an iPad and the difference is huge, bigger screen, bigger apps with more accessibility. I’ve been using it for work, for browsing, for email, for films if out and about, apps that work with the home wifi for controlling music and movies. It’s a fantastic piece of kit. Yes, an iPhone/smartphone can do similar, but the bigger screen to me makes such a difference.

All depends what people plan to any iPad/tablet for, I use it for loads of different stuff, some might not.

Three times I’ve been to the alps and twice to Canada and once ever had to change pads a couple of times on all trips.

They have updates on Facebook. Ti Bars, new dropper seat post, carbon fibre stem. Not saying much about them, but sample pics and wee bits of info.

Pacino is amazing in his earlier films. Older he got the more he just seemed to shout. De Niro was THE man in Heat, Pacino shouty.

He’s made some awesome films. But I’ll admit that ‘Midnight Run’ is still one of my fav’s. Give him a great script and he is a really funny actor in action/comedy roles.

I’d say you’ve made the wrong choice. Green and white don’t work for me.
