Different tyres to change to when the terrain changes on my rides.

Khani is correct. Turner didnt not want to pay for the FSR design, they purchased the right to use a superior system (DW link).

Nowt to do with that, it was only about $1.50 a frame they had to pay for the patent to Spesh I think. It was a row with Ellsworth that they stopped using the 4 bar set up.

Anyone who spends £3k on that.

Wot Al said. Mountain biking history? Couldn’t care less. It’s just an old bike.

3 grand?! Whoever choses to spend that on an old bike is a complete bellend.

Full suss bike? Just make sure the mech being lowered doesn’t hit the lower part of the swing arm. My old HL 5 Spot did that and had to move it back up a wee bit.

Triple clamp forks? I wouldn’t touch a 5 at the best of times, but especially not that one.

Pretty much every bike film I’ve watched (not that many) are all incredibly dull and boring. Spend it on music.

Yeah, they help with the bolts on the back of the chain rings.

I’ve only ever taken them off using one those wee tools, so don’t know of any other way of doing it. They only cost a fiver. They hold the top bolt in place while you use an allen key/hex tool to loosen the bottom bolt in the picture.

Do you have the wee tool to help get the bolts off like this:

I use E13 bash guards, work fine for me. They are easy to fit. You’ll need one sized bigger than your middle ring. 36T for example.

Had mine about 4 years now I think. Great bike, always been a hoot to ride, not as good looking as the old HL 5 Spots, but that don’t matter once your pointing it down an Alp. Ride it all over the place, been to the Alps twice it and no great rush to replace it as it does all I want and I have a larf on it.

I’m 5′ 6″ and have a medium frame but long legs and short body. I’d say you’d be better with a medium, best see if you can get a leg over one first though.

Should have had more of the black bits in. Spooky Wood is a bit boring over and over.

Sounds a bargain deal to me for a few little scuffs. Not sure what the problem is.

I don’t care who wins it. Such a guff award compared to what they’ve actually done and won already this year. Don’t think anyone of them deserves it more than the others personally.

If Batman rode a bike, he would at least take the time to line up the valves and logos.

Or have better things to do that that pointless task.

    Black and NOTHING ELSE.

So very, very, very true. Coloured bits always look utter guff, cheap and extremely tacky. But hey, it’s your dosh.

For me, although i often think of buying new, to sell any of mine would be a betrayal as all my bikes are friends.

    I know, sad isn’t it.

    Extremely sad, yes.

Glentress hotel is right beside it or I stayed here for a night in Innerleithen. Fab breakfast and a big garage to lock the bikes in.

Is this not doing your own research?

Hazard up front away from home to Juventus with Torres on the bench? Odd decisions

Didn’t think that was that odd a decision as Torres is a complete shadow of who he was in the past. They miss Drogba so badly right now.

What has this got to do with bikes? And why is it in the bike forum?

Because Chelsea always change managers. It’s a cycle they go through.

Chelsea. What a complete and utter joke of a football club.

If Pep goes there, he’s off his head.
