I reckon it will look like everything else they’ve churned out over the last, oh, 10-15 years?

Some BIG climbs. But some awesome descents. And lots of thorny bushes…

First time ever I actually switched 6Music off when she was rabbiting on. I couldn’t figure out if she was rapping a ‘song’ or rapping an answer to Lauren as she just babbled on constantly. Garbage.

We all have to make sacrifices.

@iolo, it was pretty expensive, but I did get carried away with the spec. But got a great deal. Billy Bilsland Cycles are chaps to speak with!

Was at Ciclo Montana last October. Was a great week, top people. Although I will advise full length shin pads. I always use just knee pads when abroad. But **** me, the bloody spiky, thorny, bushes over there will leave your shins looking like this after one descent.

@dingabell, I know, I asked in the shop if they were the 750mm ones as they look wider than my 750mm Havocs, but the are 750!

That was the original plan Rickos, but 27.5 came into the equation and felt the HDR was a kinda hybrid of both. Plus I couldn’t get a test ride, tested this and it blew me away. Amazing bike. Crap rider, but amazing bike!

It’s not the right wheel size 26″
It’s not got rear suspension Nope
It’s not made from carbon. Steel
It’s not got a tapered head tube. 1.1-8″
It’s not got a dropper post. Quick release!
    It’s not got 11 gears. 9

Think I tick all the boxes there. Will have a complete opposite joining it soon. Hopefully. Fingers crossed. Please let me have my new bike.

Hopefully getting my first all new bike next weekend. Been waiting months for the frame to arrive. That’ll be my first all new bike in about 6 years. In the past it’s been an evolving bike. New frame, new forks, new drivetrain, new frame etc etc.

I’d say with The White Room. Amazing folk, totally amazing trails, amazing the way they look after you. Boom, job done. Although they are pretty much fully booked apart from the last few weeks of the season.

My new VXi dry way quicker than the old style versions. And have found them pretty waterproof. Old style were awesome but like wearing sponges in the wet.

I almost crashed into a deer on an uplift day at Innerleithen years ago. Came rattling round a corner and was aiming for the next corner when the deer jumped across the trail right in front of me, missed it by a few feet. Shat meself!

I’ll do a climb if I have to on holiday, but when I go away I want as much going down the way as possible so book with companies that uplift the climbs as much as possible. Not lazy, just enjoy pointing down the way more than climbing and when on holiday I want lots of larfs over lots of sweating on a huge climb.

I’ll be honest I demo’d 650 and did notice a slight difference. Bike carried the speed more, without getting too cliched about it. But, I’m also aware that could be as it was a lighter bike, new forks, newer design, went like a bullet.

    Anyhow, I ordered one.

I was in the bracket of waiting till next year to see what happens, but then my old bike was needing a serious amount of cash thrown at it and really didn’t see much point wasting money in a 4 year old frame. Took the gamble with 650. Bike is awesome, so I’m happy. Well, will be once it arrives…

I’m 44 this year. Dunno, being in my 40’s has never really bothered me. Still very active and doing loads of riding, beering, traveling and fit and healthy.

It was when I turned 27 that I had to sort myself out! Smoked, drank way too much, awful diet and unbelievably unfit. Bought a mountain bike… little did I know how many of thousands of pounds I’d spend on it all in the following years.

I always saw it being graded black because when it was built many, many a year ago, it was a tougher trickier route. But compared to todays blacks it’s not really that tough to ride. If any of that makes sense.
