For all who wanted to watch the WC at Peebles, from Tweedlove on Facebook:

Great news for enduro-riding MTB World Cup DH fans – two pubs in Peebles have agreed to show the World Cup from Meribel on Saturday afternoon. Head along to the Crown (on the High Street) or the Bridge Inn (near the, er, bridge). So you can get out and shred all the stages in the morning and relax watching the DH after. Perfect.

Yeti is never a bike brand that’s done much for me. Nice looking bike, but not for me.

Was last year the only 2nd time of the event? First time doing it last year and had a blast. I never enter races, but enjoyed it so much, hence why doing it again this year. Hoped for 5 stages again, but we shall see what the 4 consist of this year!

****’ hell. I was looking at the website. Not the Riders Notes PDF. Aw, dang, was hoping for 5 stages again, that’s a shame. Still, no idea what the route is yet, they might be longer sections.

Where does it state ‘Cademuir & GT, and 4 stages’? I can’t see that. Website says at least 5 stages, which like last year, would be 5 stages.

Went passed the end of Broon Troot on Wednesday and plenty trees there, must have felled it all pretty quick if it has been! Last time I did Broon Troot it wasn’t as good as it used to be as there have so many new lines taking the easy route round trees, just wasn’t the same. Shame.

If your thinking Bronson, have a serious look at a Pivot Mach 6. Only had mine month and a half, but IMO it is just such an awesome bike. This is probably the first bike I’ve had where I never really stop for a rest, I just want to keep going on it. It’s such a larf to ride. Bit cheaper than a Bronson too. Demo bikes available too.

    agressive xc/light trail

    All these crazy descriptions.

Anyhow, Thomson stems are just awesome. I’m a Thomson tart, but used various versions over the years and never and one crack. Never actually ever heard of one cracking. But for your ‘riding style’ they’ll be fine.

Vid if it here. As always it makes it look flatter than it was. Trust me, it was steep!

Always found them fine on my old HR2’s. Used them in the Alps twice and survived a Spain week last year puncture free on Spain’s rocky spiky thorned trails. Now running the tubeless version on my new bike and so far (touch wood) all good and no punctures.

Got a KS LEV and it’s all been good so far. Only had it over a month, dunno why I waited so long to get a dropper post, they are freakin’ awesome. The LEV now comes with a under bar switch if you run 11 speed, keeps it tucked out of view.

Got a iXS and it’s ace. The visor is longer than my old Xen and did distract me to begin with, but after a few rides got use to it and don’t notice it at all now.

Gen 2 Hecklers were the best looking ones I reckon. How is the rear brake calliper mounted? I looks to be sticking out quite far from the swing arm?

As Liftman says it caused a fair of conflicting traffic, you had 2 streams of riders at speed in opposite directions

All the times I came down it never saw anyone else coming the other way, like I say, the track was always wide enough I felt.

Is it? Track was wide enough before.

Les Arcs black 8 is awesome very technical decent and LONG!

Think I’m one of the few who doesn’t really like Black 8. Never thought it was that technical, just a bit repetitive and rubbishy. Or it’s just me!?

Had a CRC one for a good few years, always worked, got a bit battered and the handle clip burst. Got a EVOC last year and it’s bloody brilliant. Easier to pack, move about and is more solid.

Can’t say I ‘hate’ particular bike brands, but they are plenty I have no interest in buying.

Looks very nice. This is why I never went for an HDR 650B, mixed up bike design I felt and knew they would bring out at 650b probably after I bought one! Hence why a Pivot Mach 6 was the bike of choice for me. And I have no regrets at all, a superb bike.

Any idea why it does it? Bloody annoying.
