Don't worry about losing the biking time, I was on turbo trainer after two weeks, roads and paths after 6 weeks and did the mega avalanche 3 months after the op, physio gave me the OK after 6 months. But then again it did take about 2 years before it felt "as good as new".

8 weeks for me (pisiform). But then again I came off, knew there was probably a fracture, ignored it, went snowboarding two weeks later, hurt it again, finally went to A&E another week later. haha!!!

Old water fire extinguisher with a schrader valve. fill 3/4 with water, pressurise, instant jet wash. friend has been using it for years. Works really, really well. And very quick to refil and charge with more water and air.

Sweat, flies and midges…. what the hell is there to like about it???!!!! I much prefer September and October. Still dry, but without the heat and insects.

    (in biking terms)

100% go for it. Worth the long recovery.

you can rid ea bike OK, but limits you massively. Hurts like hell when it pops out. For me, it effected my because when I stuck my foot down when sliding out round a turn, it popped out and hurt a lot!!

Three years on from my op, and my leg feels 99%. I can run, jump, fall off a bike and not worry about it. Can't ski….. but that's why I snowboard 🙂

Padron are prized for their flavour rather than heat. I have a dozen growing in the greenhouse along with 5 or so other varieties 🙂

The "trying out in a partially dark room" test is a great success. Thanks for the recommendation guys.

How'd you shot the photo conor, the grass is very detailed?

Hmm.. point and shot with an 5 year old Fuji E550! Sitting down low, open apature, bit of aspect towards the subject… nothing more than that! Oh, it was early evening, good light.

Being an Intense, the head angle is quite steep, so the front isn't as high as it looks… infact drop crown is being fitted soon to raise it up 15mm!!!

Sweet, Gamma is half the price of the Petzl. Saying as I may never us it again, Gamma makes more sense.

Gordon, typed it in to Spotify and only came up with two tracks. So just went on to Amazon and paid the £9 to download. Big fan too.

Tragically… I fear that you are right but as they are playing in Belfast we'll be going **** nuts so hopefully that will encourage them to play with passion…

You should be able to pick up some 08 or 09 Boxxer Teams for about £300. Quality fork. Just got a pair for my Socom.

No, just a 1o day coach tour with uni years ago. Loved it. Unless you are staying in a coastal resort I wouldn't think it would be the best hol for young kids. Then again, it would be a great cultural experience for them. I'd happily take my kids there. Not that I have any, or have any intention of having any any time soon!

Sorry, apart from that, no useful advice!!!

Last SUnday me and my mater were up in the Mournes for a 8 hour hike. Pure blue skies and very quiet so all the planes were very noticeable (normally it's shitty and raining here so you don't notice them) and we realised how we live under such a busy flight path (a lot of the trans Atlantic flights go over us).

I'm away up tomorrow, going to be strange not having a big jet rumble above our heads.

Good tomato base, onions, pepper, chirizo, chillies and olives. My fave.

Smoked chicken is also good., But with pizza the key is good bread, balanced tomato base, good cheese and seasoning. Don't pile on the toppings!!!!

All they do is freeze stuff and stir at the same time. I have a battery powered panasonic that you throw into the freezer. Works a treat. Makes up to 700ml at a time. And was only around £35 or so.

    Hmmm… vodka and mango sorbet….

Yes, but I have nothing what so ever to do with recruitment side of things in the company, I'm in the Surveying/GIS company. Send it anyway and I'll pass it on to the recruitment manager.

IF it's MCL, about 4 weeks.

A few years ago I came off bad.. tibail plateau fracture, complete tare of inside MCL and partial of outer MCL, complete ACL rupture and partial PCL. My leg basically flopped uselessly at the knee and couldn't support my weight at all. 6 weeks in a hinged cast. Then surgery a year later for the ACL. Then physio for 6 months…. never again 🙁

It's 95% as good as new now though!

One of the most painful GPs I have even watched. highlights were some backmarkers passing each other. A couple times. Nothing interesting happened up front. Apart from vettel's problems, I think there was ONE position change (bar the first lap) up at the front (Hamilton on heidfeld, due to the 50mt rule thing!).

With points spread out over 10 places, and an extra 2 races on the calender, and with reliability a critical factor…. none of the top drivers are actually going to race. Qualifying will pretty much determine the race day result, bar drivers cocking up, mechanical issues.

How many spins were there? How many drivers went off the track? That shows that they were driving at 90%…

hopefully as the season goes on, the teams understand the tyres and strategy options, and the drivers are less worried about "nursing" the cars…. we might see some racing….

Oh, the championship will end like this…

    1. Alonso
    2. Vettel
    3. Massa
    4. Hamilton
    5. Webber
    6. Heidfeld
    7. Schumacher
    8. button.

I'll be very surprised if it is much different from above 🙂

Fork setup? What do you use? A tweak of rebound could help a lot. What brakes do you use? One finger braking? Are the levers in line with your arms in you normal DH riding position?

Apart from that, try finding longer DH runs
