Im not sure how much the Caad12 with Ultegra will weigh tbh but i would imagine around the 7.5kg mark?

As for sizing, i have a Canyon Aeroad with full Dura Ace as my best bike so this will be ab all year rounder as well as a bike to race on!
I have different wheel sets so ill switch when needed.

My Aeroad is a 50 and i was thinking of going for the 52 Caad after looking at the cannondale sizing chart?

Well, i bought a Cube Reaction GTC SL 29r earlier this year for racing and have just sold my Giant Trance X2 which i never used really.
I now have some cash in me pocket and was thinking about either training on my Cube and buying a slightly better bike for racing on or buying a cheaper bike and training on that whilst i race on my Cube. 🙂

Ye i suppose. I was just thinking of getting better than what i have tho and use this one i have already as my training bike. I cant see the point in getting the same spec bike as mine if im buying a second bike, that was all 🙂

Well, i just spent a fortune on a new bike… i want it right from the start lol.

Ok cheers bud, ill give the brakes time to bed in. It might even be that the SID forks are way to flexible like some people have already said. If thats the case ill be on the phone from where i got it from.

greasing my rotor would stop me brakes working wouldnt it lol?

Not sure if its my front forks flexing either now as ive heard the SID forks can flex.
Hopefully its just my breaks need bedding in or my calipers may need realigning.

Well, ive took the wheel off and put it back on a few times and its still there.
Ive made sure the quick release is tight and the wheel is pushed right down into its slot.

Pedaling sitting down, there is no noise whatsoever.

Pedaling and leaning to the left whilst the bike is pushed right, there is no noise.

Pedaling and leaning to the right whilst the bike is pushed left and we have the squeal!

It also happens when im on the bike and lean the bike right over to the left, whilst im leaning to the right!

Btw, ive only used my bike once since ive got it and thats only been from the train station on the way back from picking it up lol. I noticed that when off the saddle, and when i power down on the right pedal, i can hear the front break disk squeal and make a noise.
You reckon its just cause the bikes new and the disks need bedding in or do my front pads need moving out a bit?

What bracket is that for the garmin Steve? Was thinking about buying one for the Forerunner 305 ya see.

Anyway, the reason i have narrowed it down to this brand is value for money, weight and knowledge from a few friends who already have Cube bikes.

I had my first mtb race a little while ago now and loved it! I got chatting to a few lads there and 29ers were mentioned quite alot. I havent ridden one i know but if they are that much quicker than a lightweight 26′ because they roll better, then i want to make the right decssion now, not after ive bought it!

I have thought about the Giant XTC 1 Composite but i saw to many people on them in my last race and fancied something different.
I saw a good review in MTB mag this week also regarding it but i just fancy something different.

I also dont like the look of the Specialized 29r’s either… and i know i shouldnt be buying a bike on looks but it does help when narrowing down the competition and when your spending your hard earned cash!!

Ps. The only other brand ive really thought about was Scott (Scale 35) and for the price, i get a lot more with the Cube so… It was a no brainer imo!
