Oldie but goodie one-off XC frame (had it since 1998) plus some ‘just laying around’ and eBay/bargain bucket parts.

As an art teacher I must surely be allowed more than one favourite artist?

    John Virtue

    Paul Klee

    John Piper

    Samuel Palmer

    JMW Turner

    Andy Goldsworthy

And two more votes for Rothko and Blake

Used Firefox until version 3.something when it started to feel a little slow and bloated (version 4 is meant to be a bit quicker but not tried it yet).

Use Chrome across Windows and Linux now. Does the job well enough.

Not a huge BB fan, but liking this.

    Make Some Noise
    Too Many Rappers…
    Lee Majors Come Again

Stand out on first listen, but can’t hear anything too weak. Reminds me of both Spearhead and UNKLE (original incarnation) in places without really sounding anything like either – this is a good thing.

Still don’t think they’ll ever do anything quite as good as Sabotage though.

March to Thetford (Brandon Car Park) is probably about 1hr 20 mins, maybe a bit less.

Should be a fair bit less – from Peterborough it takes me about an hour and a quarter, so I would think March is about 1/2 hour closer.

Plenty of singletrack in Thetford, just not that much gradient (couple of good if short blasts that run down a slope – The Beast and Double Shocker). Quite a lot of fun ‘off-piste’ stuff that I don’t yet know about too I think.

Hit these guys up for info – http://timbermtb.org/website/

If you’re going to be based in March that’s about your lot (apart from flat bridleway XC) unless you have a car and are prepared to drive a fairly long way to ride.

    Because it doesn’t break.

(Am however thinking about going back to steel (had a Trailstar for years before this) – same build (although maybe longer forks too), just on a BFe frame).

Asking here might be a better bet.

Could probably also link up with one of the club rides for some ‘off-piste’ fun.

Switch to Linux (current Ubuntu builds are dead easy to install and use).

Failing that, a Windows based combo of –

    Hardware firwall on your router.
    AVG free.
    Zonealarm free.
    Spybot S&D.

    – has always served me well when I’m forced to use Windoze.

Tim was my pick from early on. In previous series that usually meant finalist but never winning. Great to see John and Pudding Boy making the right decision for once.

If Tim ever opens a restaurant anywhere easily reachable from here I’d be really keen to try his food.

Hoping we might get 1/2 of what we applied for, but no real idea of the odds involved?

The Big Blue (or Subway, or Nikita, or Leon – basically any of Luc Besson’s earlier films).

    Jarhead.

Prefer SportyPal or Endomondo myself now. For some reason MyTracks loses the GPS signal a fair bit on my HTC DesireHD. Worked perfectly on my old HTC Hero though. Go figure.
