Had the same problem,on a Focus- changed the cheapy headset for something decent, as it seemed to be that which was ‘flexing’ when the brake was applied. Cured it, but Im now rocking a set of white frogglegs- for the pimp factor & cos the shimano cantis always felt a bit crap compared with mates’ Froggs

mine went round the shock mounting on the frame, but it was replaced cheaply by orange even tho it was oldish.

aP- do you mean the tension pin has sheared? This happened to me, the little hole on the frame or forks wasnt deep enough for the pin to fit into fully-had to drill it out.

fell hard on my right shoulder at the start of May, still hurts now, 95% movement but weak. Aches by the end of the day, and just this week started riding again. 3 weeks of doing nothing then, part time back to work. Put about a stone on! Bugger
