RIP McQueen indeed, he designed some pretty nice stuff.
However, most of the 'gash' road stuff is designed so its easily identified in the peloton-for better or worse. And lots of 'club' kit copies the design/colours of the pro stuff

I just sold a load of (a-hem) classic bits, the stuff I thought would be sought after wasn't, and the old sh.te that haad been lying around for years in the shed went for stupid cash.
Just stick it on thiefbay, with no reserve, and it'll go for what its worth.
(If you want more, or dont want to sell for that price, get someone to put a bid in)

Had my first dealings with Merlin this week.
Ordered saddle, which was about £20 cheaper than anywhere else, and in stock, at 10p.m Wed night.
Email at 9.45 Thurs morn telling me its been dispatched
Friday lunchtime, its on the bike!
    Very impressed!

Riding along with a mate on the road bikes, mondeo overtakes us-nice and wide, immediately mitsubishi FTO over takes us and mondeo and disapears off down the winding undulating road…1/2 mile later….FTO upside down steam escaping from the crumpled body, c0ckend driver clambering out in his shiney suit!
Been showing off his new heap of crap to his mate in the mondeo, but didnt know the road went into a dip/tight right
He hit the black/white chevron sign which he drove up and was flipped over!
Cue me and my mate stopping and giving him a right mouthfull and laughing at him at the same time

I sometimes get this (both on and off road), and have tried loads of different grips, gloves etc. In my case, I put it down to poor circulation, as it seams to only to happen when Im trying hard, and not just pottering.

My turbo replacement was (gulp) £1300! But that was with a new cat too, I imagine if you get the turbo re-conned it will be a lot cheaper, but mine disintegrated! and **** the cat (full of oil)
Local garage sourced the bits and did the job, as opposed to main dealer who wanted, if I remember correctly, nearly £2k for the turbo and £800 for the cat, and that was just the bits!
Also the service parts are pretty pricey, but still great vans
