    If it’s a semi- integrated type with hidden cups pressed in then this would probably fit;

    Would recommend giving Giant UK a call, they are very helpful, and it may well be cheaper to buy one as a Giant spare part- made by Cane Creek or FSA anyway.

    I think Specialized sizes are centre bb to top of seat tube.
    At 5’6″ I would imagine either a 52 or 54cm would be suitable.

    34/46 and 12/27……Yes I know, sad isn’t it!

    26″ wheels came from American clunker or utility bikes popular from the thirties to the fifties.

    I love fixies – I ride them on the track, and on the way to work. I ride 26″ mtb’s offroad, 700c on road, race 700c cx, and just don’t feel the need for a 29er or a 69er.

    Marketing Hype!
    700c road and cx – great.
    26″ MTB great – thank you to the repack crew on their clunkers.
    29ers waste of effing time and money – you’ve been sucked in by the corporate big boys!
    Only surpassed in stupidity by 69ers.

    Sorry, blatant plug time here!
    I put this Giant Omnium track frameset on the classifieds a while ago, and guess what, yes it is still available!

    Can’t get much better value than the Planet X track bikes;

    The only downside is they’re so popular…. Every other bike seems to be one!

    I’ve always used the standard mono mini pads in mine – same shape etc.

    If you decide on an Edge 800, I would recommend the Enduro package (GM4800) as it comes with heart rate, cadence sensors and 1:50K full UK O.S. mapping.
    Much cheaper in a bundle than buying separately, and as said previously, the base mapping is virtually useless for anything but basic on road navigation.

    Not a fan of belt drives personally at the present time. However, timing belts in infernal combustion engines have annihilated timing chains so who knows what the future holds.

    WCA…… I think 3m applies to Premier, A & B category races only.

    Good luck, not an easy task putting on one of these events.
    Yeah the 2m rule is a bit of a bugger – NDCXL league races usually seem to incorporate a bit of twisty singletrack somewhere to keep the courses interesting though!

    Sod all on the Lezyne site, so when will these wonderful Exposure eaters be available to the general punters?

    Lights in a can defo the way to go. Got these Maxx D’s last year and so far faultless and rock solid on the mounts.
    Look mahoosive in the piccie- not that bad in the flesh-honest!

    Also have 2 sets of 2008 Enduro Maxx which still exceed the manufacturers run time of 3hrs on full power.
    Use a Diablo for commuting on the road- also great.
    Like both Trout and Luminous units, great value and latest technology, although not seen any in the flesh. Luminous cans looked good last year but didn’t seem a great improvement on the Exposure’s.

    Not done any research into this so probably out of touch with the proposed changes, but as far as I recall purchasing the bike has never been VAT exempt. As a VAT registered employer we are entitled to claim back the VAT on the purchase price and use the net cost as the amount payable to recoup from the employee under the salary sacrifice deductions.

    Twin cans are the way to go! On and off in seconds and loadsa’ lumens.

    Look mahoosive in the piccie though…..not as bad in the flesh. Honest!

    Raw, polished or lacquered frame and all polished (not painted silver) components for that engineered look.

    Giant TCX frameset might be worth a look. I race one so this is a totally unbiased opinion!

    Thought it was about time I had at least one bike which could take mudguards and a rack so have ordered one. I am ancient though, so confident it will suit me!

    Breaking News!
    Mountain Bikers don’t even know how to pedal properly! 😯

    Coleman

    Usually it’s so you pedal in circles. Toes down to push the pedals back at the bottom of the stroke – Likened to wiping dog shite of the front of your shoe. 🙂
