    Another can’t fault them here.
Have been running 2 Enduro Maxx lights both 3 years old next month. Used every week for six months of the year, never missed a beat, and still exceed the 3hr stated run times.
Not cheap, but cable free “all in a can” design is a real bonus for me.

“only time a spacer is a *must* is on a road bike (just because) or if you have a carbon steerer (so that the stem clamp is properly on the steerer) and in both cases it goes above the stem.”

Why on earth would you need a spacer above the stem on a carbon steerer or road fork? As long as the top of the stem is 3mm above the steerer it will be fine. Spacers on top of stems are just so wrong!

It’s a custom build using stock parts and frame. A custom frame is a bespoke frame made to your requirement. Both custom though.

    Most overrated bikes;

Steel framed pseudo Cross bikes with disc brakes and no gears.

Set off from the start at full pace and then keep going faster and faster. In 50 mins it will all be over!
If it’s muddy don’t run your tyres to hard.

Have a good race, it’s loads of fun.

SRAM Notts / Derby League Round 2 at Allestree Park, Derby.
Will be muddy and hilly, but it’s right at the bottom of my garden, so can’t wait. Should be fun.
    Good luck to all racing.

Personally I would hold fire. If Rutland aren’t playing ball I would give the importers, Eurobike, a call to find out what should be supplied with the wheels. You never know they may even send you the missing bits direct.
Nice wheels! Hope you get it sorted.

Looked on American Classic and Eurobike websites and both state Tubeless ready with valves and rim tape for tubeless tyres.
I read this to mean they are supplied with the wheels.

MrSparkle – thanks. It's an 09 TCX frameset, Ksyrium wheels, Ultegra g'set and Ritchey bits.

Kate Potter raced the prototype in a few rounds of the SRAM Notts/Derby league last year.
Very smart it looked too in it's bright orange livery.

Sram Notts / Derby league kicks off tomorrow at Shipley Park. A hilly beast of a course.
    Good luck to all racing.

I also run Tektro Oryx canti's on my cx bike and they work fine, even with the standard straddle cable and cheap Ashima cartridge pads. Good modulation and reasonable power.
With careful set up can even work judder free, which seems to be a perennial problem for many on here

The frames aren't superlight anyway. My 18" 08 s-works carbon ht weighed in at 1250g, although current ones may be a bit lighter.

It may be a trend, but certainly not a new one, as oldgit mentioned. My Dad used to compete in fixed wheel hill climb time trials back in the Thirties

    Short stems and in-line posts.

Just a fad, to look rad! Don't be a fashion victim. 🙂

If you have to ask, it's probably better to take up another sport.

We set up and run our own scheme for the same reasons – to cut out the third party facilitator. This enables us to purchase bikes direct from any retailer, negotiate discounts and take advantage of any sale offers.

It is a simple process to set up and administrate, and once running we had ours approved/cleared by HMRC just to be on the safe side.

If of any use, I could e-mail info on our scheme which includes all the standard forms required.

Carbon paste will certainly stop the post slipping and reduce the torque needed on the clamp, but as it is gritty will badly mark the surface finish of the post. For less cosmetic damage talcum powder is fine and still increases friction – even recommended by Specialized in their fitting instructions for s-works carbon posts.
As mentioned above grease/lube is a definite no no.

Fat biffers on bikes are an embarrassment, and should only be allowed out after darkness falls!

Afraid not. As althepipes said – the balance will be taken from your net salary, so any tax advantage is lost.

Some Bod's on here seem to change tyres more often than the Formula 1 teams!

I change mine when they are worn out! 🙂

Here's a circular route starting from Derby. Not at all technical, apart from a nice descent off The Chevin, but a pleasant ride through rolling countryside.
