flat vs riser it’s really down to personal preference,
i spent a long time riding with different length stems and flat/riser bars to find a comfortable setup,
it’s whatever works for you/feels best.

if you can borrow some bars and see how it feels that would be best,
it might save you from buyinga an expensive carbon mistake.

nothing wrong with shimming out a light mount! you sure u got the right mount size, not 31.8mm oversize????
this shouldnt influence your bar choice!

Bit miffed with all these how to improve classified posts.

completely agree, i dont see a problem with the way the classifieds are.
there is a bit of rose tinted glasses about the old forum as well,
back in my day ….. etc etc. 😀

the classifieds has always been a bit of a fast paced section!

    so no! 😆

Browns is always good for me reasonably priced, great food plus you won’t have to book, although it will be busy.

In fact it’s the only place I’ll eat out in Bristol when I do, which isn’t often.

dont mean to “hammer” down on people’s restaurant choices, 🙂
    i wouldn’t recommend browns,
in a past life I used to work there as a chef(ssshhhhh),
    and i just wouldn’t.
very little love or even thought has gone into the food,
and from what i hear much is now bought in a la boil in the bag,
    i know the deserts were.

there was very little emphasis on producing good food when i was there!
but it could have changed (but i doubt it 😀 )

    nah hammer away !
only been to severn shed once i thought food was exceptional but youve got me worried now

    goes to get coat

i knew a few waiting/bar staff there, aswell as some chefs,
and heard some bad things, just your normal kitchen stories,
but it kinda puts you off. 😀

    need a bit more info,

set the low limit screw on the mech,
then take the slack up on the cable.
and then it should shift through,
maybe minor tweak with cable tension
but that’s pretty much how i do it, and always seems to work for me, dunno if its the official way to do 🙂

if it over shifts on the largest chainring you’ll need to set the high limit screw,

i used to know lots of people who worked in the severnshed,
they would never recommend eating there 😀

this is a nice place, thoroughly enjoyed my meal up there,
was so much better than the bland restaurants

deacons is meant to be good aswell

my experience of bristol is a few years out so dont hold me to my recommendations

If there’s going to be a charge for the adds, will there be a charge for the subtracts as well?

your right though should only the seller pay, what about the buyer that has used the site, should they pay a fee for using the classifieds
    where does it all stop???

    colande
    Free Member

    dont think so either,
    not because i’m a skinflint,

how would wtd ads work, would they have to pay if a transaction goes through???
i’ve posted up free stuff before, i would be less likely to see if anyone wanted my junk before i threw it out.
would that mean that traders would be allowed in, as that would only be fair then????

too many minefields, even on the old site classifieds disappeared off the front page pretty quickly,

what knobbly tyres did you put on???
if you didnt have an issue with your marathons then it must be your new tyre choice,
maybe get something with with better puncture protection,

But you come on here claiming some sort of expert, and yet it’s obvious that you haven’t even watched the Discovery Channel programme.

The program was “How 2”, please read my post properly grizzlygus

Colande sounds to me as if he knows what he’s talking about.

You on the other hand Spoony, what you’re saying just sounds like nonsense to me.

Plus, you don’t appear to have watched the children’s programme which he’s talking about.

😀 haha grizzlygus, seeing that he hasn’t seen the children’s program in question i pronounce myself the winner,

the 2 buckets is the precise experiment where hot water will freeze before the cold, given that they are in the same environment.

dont poo-poo the idea, i remember seeing it on a children’s program, it might have been “how 2”
    and they dont lie 🙂

oh gawd here we go again,
you put the hot water into a airplane shaped ice cube tray,
then straight into a freezer which is on a conveyor belt

thisisnotaspoon that’s what i thought the cold water has a head start in freezing
    no!!!!

    use cold water,

hot water actually freezes faster than cold water,
i dont understand the physics behind it,

but if you dont believe me just google it

i think moseymtb wants black stantions to match his bike,
still dont think your gonna feel that much of an upgrade from the MX’s,
but the look is more the issue.

how good are you at DIY?
if your at all handy why dont you construct your own, in true STW fashion.
cheap prefabricated sheds are woefully bad! the construction is poor and generally flimsy.

    i built a shed/office (about 4m x 4m) using 2nd hand scaffold boards,
    £5 per 13ft board,
used them to clad and as the floor/base.
its easy really if you are that way inclined,

the materials will come to the same as a similar sized prefab shed,
but it produces a proper solid structure that wont be blown over,
    it was a great project!

otherwise proper sheds are v expensive, your looking at thousands,
depends if your looking for an allotment type shed or to create another room shed
drop me a line if you wanna see some build pictures

citroen xm, is the biggest of big estates
it is absolutely massive, my brother has one and it gobbles up everything
they are cheap aswell, fuel consumption isn’t the best, adequate for an estate though,

you’ve summed it up quite well there,
cwmcarn tricky climb but a great reward on the down, has a great flow to it,
afan multiple trails, whites up at glyncorrwg is my fav out of the lot,
