Brilliant!! I did think that BPW has lots more potential. There is so much undeveloped land that could be used.

I think a chairlift would be amazing, but could risk turning the trail center into a motorway. Either way, I’m looking forward to it growing.

A turbo :D ! Sitting at home in a box. Can’t wait to see what it’s all about.

That looks ace! Is it a Kingdom?
Annoyingly I’ve already set my TBs up tubeless. I’ll order some NNs and see how I get on with the TBs.

Hmmm, surely the car hitting another car and driving off is enough reason for the police to pursue this. That evidence coupled with yours should be enough for them to pay attention, no?

So there you have it, the government is going to bomb Syria :(

Could you submerge the chain in the lube and the hang it up above the container so that all the excess runs back into the container? Probably give it a couple hours. Or is that too much lube?

When I lived in a flat I had this setup

I hope I never have to do that again! It was such a pain washing it outside and dragging it up the stair. So much easier with a house and a garden.

I always ask for a full name. Firstly it allows me to know who I’m actually dealing with and secondly my bank makes me. No one has ever complained when I’ve asked.

Taken a month or so ago. There’s a few different bikes in there now and a turbo.
I’ve also put up a shelf and pole for riding kit- shoes, bag, gloves & jacket

Lovely that! Not seen a Trail outside the sterile photobooth environemnt.
Looks like a great bike with enough travel for most of the Uk. Enjoy!

    +1 on needing a bleed.

Lovely ride today. Very windy with minimal rain, also rather mild. Trails drained well so it wasn’t too muddy.

I use Raceware silicon grips- they are identical to the ESIs they replaced. They do a chunky and race version. I paid £13.50 at the LBS. They’re a UK company too!

You don’t mention how much travel the frame has or you want.
I’m assuming 100mm front and rear?

Post some pics of the crack- I’d be tempted to send it off for repair. I’d be surprised if someone can’t fix it.

I’ve never had an issues with tubeless.

I seem to be able to set them up within a couple minutes. The only issues I’ve come across was that I needed to build up more tape to make it tighter. Once the tyres seated I just add some stans and swish it round.

Never had any issues trailside beyond the norm. I’ve had a few punctures and snakebites that sealed. I’ve also had 2 tyres where flint slit the sidewall and so didn’t seal. I just popped one side off and add a tube till I get home and then fix the sidewall.

The one thing is that they do require maintenance. Every 3 months I pop the one side of the tyre off to clean out the stans monsters and add fresh stans. Only takes a couple of minutes though.

1kg of pork scratchings? I’d need more than 5 pints of cider to wash that down..
Please tell me the pork scratchings are all in one bag.. Pics?!

This has probably been covered, but I can’t find it anywhere- why isn’t something like this every put to the public vote?!

This thread just keeps giving. It’s nice to see the STW collective supporting each other.

Titch, love your work and can’t wait to see more creations :D ! Looks like your experience helped you identify this guy. Seems TJ wasn’t so lucky..but he’s nails so it should be okay.

As it turns out the TB on the i35 fits in the back of a T129 SCR offering slightly more clearance than a 2.2 beaver on 23mm 29er rim. Who’d a thought it :D !

New wheelset to finish the build! WTB I35’s on ProIIs. They’ve been signed for by the next door neighbors. This evenings task is setting them up tubeless and then onto the gears and brakes.

    NO.

Violence isn’t the answer to this. If you cut the revenue and funding streams to Daesh then they will implode. This isn’t our fight. The money spent on bombs and arms could be used to send humanitarian aid or house refugees. I’m so sick of military action being the first port of call globally.

What rim are you putting this on? Any chance of some measurements once fitted?

This what an amateur ‘designer’ can do.. . I’d love to compare your efforts of ‘designing’..
What you are doing is sending a requirement to a builder who will then use their experience and knowledge to pull together the spec and build the frame. You can’t warrant what you are doing as ‘designing’ and comparing yourself to Brant and others is laughable :D .

This thread is great! Many skilled and great names in the bike industry getting shot down by some delusional keyboard warrior with no experience  .

My bike came with 30t front and 11-42t rear. I spin out regularly on my local loop (similar to Swinley) but when I’ve been to wales I found that I rarely sat spinning in 42t, usually 36t. Could always go for 28t?
Either way, I find the 11spd setup fantastic. It’s got the range I want with less cost, weight and maintenance.

My hardtails have plenty of space to run a Alpkit medium fuel pod in the triangle- fixed to the TT and ST. This fits everything I need- multitool, tubless kit, tube, levers, mini pump, spare battery, phone and cash. Bag swaps between bikes in seconds.

My FS has no space to run the bag out the way so I fix a multitool to the back of the bottle cage, attach the mini pump to the side of the bottle cage, run a spare tube in the TT/DT gap and strap some levers to the CS. Phone and cash lives in pockets.

I run tubeless but always carry a tube for those ‘worst case’ rides. Both solutions are neat and I’ve not found that I need to carry more than this. I sometimes carry a bag for longer rides- food, layers, waterproof and more water.

I love tan wall tyres too  ! I think they can look fantastic.
Apart from the Onza, I’ve found Maxxis Ardent in tan.

Do you see that tiny little area on the map where the red line, denoting the Russian fighter jet, very briefly crosses into southern Turkey (marked by turquoise borders)? That’s the extent of airspace violation that prompted a NATO member state to shoot down a Russian SU-24.

Is there any more development on this? I’m rather curious.

Aren’t the Turks sympathetic to the anti-Assad forces? 90%-ish of Turkey are Sunni and the political party in power are Sunni (IIRC). It’s in their interest to shoot down the Russians and Syrians.. Plus the airstrikes are supporting the Peshmerga offensive against ISIS, and we all know how much Turks love them..

I actually prefer a non-remote dropper. They are very simple, require less maintenance, can be swapped easier and don’t clutter the bars. It’s a shame that more don’t offer it. I’ve had good experience with Xfusion Hilo.

It only applies to the pivot bearings and does not apply to any component bearings. Otherwise if they offer headset bearing replacement they also have to offer hub, bb, shifter and any other bearings replacement too, which is unreasonable and unrealistic. Especially as these are components made by other manufacturers.

I love the Ti paint job  . Looks a bit retro.
Lovely line up to be honest. I’ll be interested in seeing the new MTB range too.

Never wash it really, but garden hose on a light spray when it’s really bad to take the worst off and then add some chainwax and lube after every ride to forks, shock, dropper and chain. My bearings and drivetrain seems to last an awfully long time with this method. When I build it up or maintain it everything moving gets packed with grease which probably helps.
