Is the Schwalbe Hans Dampf Addix that they have on there for £17 a rear tyre? And if so what what you stick on the front to go with it?

Ordered some Freerider eps on Sunday night and they arrived Wednesday pm. As others have said they are quite slim fitting but I’m hoping they will stretch a bit with wear. Tried them with the insoles out and they are perfect. Anyway great psa!

Drill a 1” hole in your fridge door so you can see when the lights on. (Viz)

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m going to give the Neutrons a go at that price!

I once met the late DJ in Dalby forest, I’d been on a forum ride with him a couple of years previous. I remembered him firstly by the cameras he had strung round his back.

@ads678 I often ride along that very section you have marked while the wife does the Parkrun on the north bank.

    @tracey

that’s a right bargain you’ve got there! Anyway I’m sorted now thanks, Managed to find a brand new set online at a really good price and I’m going to get the old set repaired and keep them for a future pub bike build.

Joebristol, yes it’s a gxp bottom bracket. Bloody confusing to the layman all these standards!

momo, I could be interested. I’m in no rush.

We’ve had a right plague of them in East Yorkshire, the Doctors have a big notice in reception telling people not to come asking for antibiotics if they get bitten.
Funniest thing I’ve heard yet is someone on our local village FB page blaming the local wildlife trust, he reckons they have released 45,000 mosquitoes as there was no natural food for the birds this year!

I’ve got the Rockrider grey ones and wore them for the first time yesterday at BPW. Very impressed and they were a really good fit. 30w 30 inside leg. Would recommend.

Thanks everyone, I’m sorted now. Turned out to be an expensive day at BPW!

    Thanks, it’s a 10 – 50. Need a chain as well so I will have a look at crc.

Hopefully my mate at the local garage who does a fair bit of helicoiling will have a look for me. But if it’s not right it will be new cranks time. I was at BPW when this happened and luckily it was the last run of the day, if it had been early on it would have been a right bummer.

Yeah , alloy insert. As you say a crankset is well over a ton so I’m thinking I may as well get them done. Thanks guys.

Lovewookie when I get a minute I shall have a look at the bearings. Away for a few days, but if it’s the same as yours and yours is still for sale I shall take it off your hands.

Lovewookie head tube is 115 and the head set is a FSA no 42, integrated Orbit ZS plus 1 1/8 x 1 1/2. Sealed cartridge bearing. Not sure after that.

So what’s the consensus on these in general? I fancy one for my Whyte T130, do they make a noticeable difference? Also can someone point me in the right direction for the one I would need please.
Did email 9point8 but they didn’t get back to me.

    It’s the FSA No. 42 Integrated, Orbit ZS Plus, 1 1/8” – 1 1/2” Sealed Cartridge. Tia

My mate is proper old school and is riding an old Litespeed, 26” and 2 by with no dropper and tubed. He won’t even buy new mtb clothing unless it’s black! I’ve been trying to get him to upgrade to a dropper at the very least but he’s always been steadfast that he’s fine with what he has and new stuff is no improvement.
That was until his rear hub failed at Degla and he had to hire a bike off them for a day.
It was a lightbulb moment for him and he spent the rest of the trip telling us how good modern bikes are!

As an afterthought can you fit knee pads under them ok?

I’ve got some Poc air which I have never ever used but thought I would give them a go if they will fit. If not can anyone recommend a knee pad that will?

Just ordered a pair and hopefully should have them next week. Going to BPW the week after so will be able to give them a good testing without a lot of climbing!
I have some Rockrider winter bibs which have been fantastic but I do look like Max Wall when I wear them.
How fashions have changed in mtbing, a few years ago everyone wore baggies but when I went to FOD a couple of weeks ago it was predominately trousers.

Thanks for the quick replies folks. Shall order a pair now.

Excellent! Think you are in my neck of the woods so to speak, Hull? If you were riding Brantingham way I may have seen you as me and a mate were out there early doors before it got too busy.
Soon be time for some night riding there.

Aye Jingleby tea rooms were great. Think the lady who ran it was called Audrey . She  told me once that she actually closed full time until some mtbers called one day during a snowstorm for a sandwich and cuppa and she invited them into her house and fed them and decided then to reopen as she wasn’t going to get any peace from us! Lovely lady.

I was looking at buying a new van a couple of years ago and wbac offered me £3000 more for my van than the dealers did who sold me it. This was on a van worth about £7000, so big difference! Never really heard anything bad about them tbf.

My wife smashed the screen on my Vivo active a couple of years ago when she borrowed it for a run.
I found a replacement screen on eBay that came from China in about 3 weeks. Took about 15 mins to fit and it’s been perfect ever since. Can’t remember exactly how much but I seem to think about 28 quid

There’s an old book by a guy called J. Brian. Beadle that has lots of Wolds rides in it, trouble is I’ve lost mine and can’t find another one.

Love riding the Wolds although it’s much better when we’ve had a good dry spell. Did the Wetwang Wobble a few weeks ago, I will see if I can workout how to post a link.
Think it was about 30 odd miles and hardly saw a soul all day.

Apple TV for me. As others have said more expensive and the remote is fiddly until you get used to it but I’m very happy with it. Oh and if you use the voice activation to open Zwift you’ve got to really pronounce the Z or you will get Taylor Swift!
