we have the same and there’s no rattle because it’s wedged in by the front passenger seat… Isofix is great imo and as above, if you need to for travelling you can easily use seat belts

i don’t find that i have to check my air revs very often and i can easily change the spring rate for different riding but like i kind of said, each have their advantages

slight caveat to that. I wouldn’t use ti bolts for the shock as they’re directly loaded.

suspension pivot bolts shouldn’t be under heavy load if it’s a decent frame design so it should be fine for most bikes. I wouldn’t be willing to pay but if i was given them i’d have no problem using them.

coil is slightly more plush but may mean forking(!) out for a new set of springs if you’re not average weight.

Air is more adjustable and lighter.

    I prefer air

also i’d suggest that slow is relative. For steep stuff you want slower handling eg 130+ travel but it’s not ideal for flat singletrack as it may feel a bit heavy and or slow even with a short stem. Of course it’ll all depend how you like your bikes to handle.

recons are the same length as revelations at a given travel give or take but i didn’t think that recons have a 130 mm model. Are you sure they’re not toras?

your riding sounds like my local stuff in bristol. My 456 had a revelation on. 100mm was scary fast but fun, 115 a perfect for the singletrack and 130 good for the steeper stuff. For you, it really depends on what you ride most. For me, 140 would have been too much.

Find another job in the same area – move to London during the week if I absolutely had to in order to get work (IT management) – there’s still plenty about for the skills I have, luckily.

It really does depend on how much money/motivation/etc you have though doesn’t it?

You can’t route with an ethernet/network cable directly to the Wii – you have to buy an add on part for the Wii to use a non-wireless to use it…

top pull 28.6 is what you need for the 456.

30.0 is fine for the seat clamp – plenty of them here: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=212

Junkyard – brilliant – that explains perfectly. Looks like 24mb will be plenty for what I use it for.

Yes to the buff and also be careful about what you eat beforehand – I’m more succeptible to asthma after drinking milk (sometimes – I go through phases) which is a fairly common one.

    It’s a common problem.

Apparently the root cause is that the rubber shims are too thin – you should basically use the biggest seatpost shim that you can so that you don’t have to tighten it up so much. I heard that they’ll be doing a wider shim for the smaller seatpost sizes – eg 27.2

I have one of these though it was down to £85 when I got it.

    No problems with it.

Untrue. Rounding is just an appoximation for convenience of writing/typing.

yes and there’s still no kind of atmosphere… ;)

    Yes, so long as:

    – the plane is capable of taking off on a normal run way
    – the converyor belt isn’t going so fast that the friction in the landing gear wheel bearings prevents the plane reaching its min speed for take off.

(- the plane doesn’t hit the treadmill uprights as per 5th elefant ;) )

I don’t think that his position means anything with road racing being tactical and all – look at the margins – he could easily have been 20 places higher or lower on a handful of seconds.

What was far more telling was that he was in good enough form to attack and never got dropped on the harder stages.

We have a Tomy one and find it really useful – with a tv on, we can’t hear unless he’s really yelling and more importantly, it means that if I go to work on bikes in the garage while my wife is out, I can hear.

As to going in for the slightest sound, that’s nothing to do with the monitor – we often hear him make noises but don’t always go in, since we know that we don’t always need to – it’s to do with your general attitude…

Cost – £200 – £300ish – though more if you need a new rim and paying for the wheel build

Weight – Yes, the alfine’s heavy – you’ll be adding anything up to 1kg depending on what you currently have

Spacing – Normal 135mm mtb spacing. You’ll need a tensioner if your frame’s not designed for SS

Durability – I’ve asked this a few times – the answer so far seems to be yes, it’s lasting pretty well even when used for mtbing

Check out the internal gears forum on mtbr.com

Also only works if your maternity pay is statutory only – if it’s enhanced then they can still take the B2W out of the salary (only down to statutory level though)

(Just been through it – well, my wife has…)

For the proplus ( and I’m using that as the name but if I was doing it, I’d be buying generic caffiene tablets that will be very cheap), to make sure that you get even distribution, just dissolve them in hot water and then mix in.

    clubber

I think I’d just add powdered proplus tablets – the tablet packaging will have all the details about how much is in each pill so that you don’t end up making a batch that you OD on :)

Also, it’ll be a lot easier to measure out rather than having to try and weigh out, say 1 gramme (if you’re making 10 bars @ 100mg per bar) accurately which will be near impossible unless you have proper scales designed for very small weights.

    Cannondale F900
    GT Peace

and a Spesh Langster (though it was a fixie)

All good and just a progression of frames really rather than multiple SSs at the same time

My wife had the same issue – she forked out for a lightbox and found it made a big difference. Expensive but well worth it for the difference it’s made.

    It’s worth a look here too: http://forums.mtbr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=154

IIRC with an alfine, it’s like having a standard 3×9 setup but you lose top very top and bottom two or three gears so it’s like a 1×9 with one higher and one lower IIRC.

In outlook, on the mail bar on the LH side of the screen.

Right click on the top folder ‘Mailbox – your name’

select “properties for ‘Mailbox – your name’

    select the ‘folder size’ button.

In there, you should be able to see which folder is the big one.

better solution is not to unlock the phone. There’s a fix that puts a chip in you sim so it’ll work regardless of network and with no risk to the phone. Just google “unlock sim iphone” and you should find it.
