He used to be a drug dealer in the mean streets of baltimore before settling as a detective in London.

Don’t forget his stint fighting sea monsters with big robots…

Seriously though, is it worth catching up on the first couple of series first?

Wouldn’t go anywhere dark alone for 2 weeks…

Event Horizon is one of my of my favourite films and still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up at times!

That restaurant grade stuff I had was so small it fell through the grates

Sounds like you got a bag that’d been thrown around a bit

I think he asked for charcoal didn’t he? not the sweepings off the floor compressed into a briquette…

Booker cash and carry usually have restaurant grade at reasonable prices, it’s all I use all year round, some nice big pieces generally

EDIT: It’s the stuff in the amazon link above but about £9 a bag

Update: with the slop getting worse I don’t think I’ll be taking the dirt wizard off the front for a bomboloni…

This was very deep mud though…

Just to add to TINAS excellent post above, sanitiser is not cleaner, make sure everything is clean first with something like WBP and finally sanitise when clean

there are two ulvang products on eBay. One “Walking” merino, and one “thin everyday” sock. The latter would probably suit a chap in the M.E.

True but it also says the walking ones he’s got left in the big size are thinner ones.

type Ulvang into ebay and all your sock worries will be over..

    anyone tried the BULLDOZER!!! ??

I was initially disappointed when I got my bomboloni, I thought the tread pattern was not deep enough and would not grip the slop.

Somehow it works… Still only tried it on the rear though, singlespeed mind so it has had some sloppy mud pedal stamping climbs thrown at it.

fat b nimbles look like they’d clear nicely but don’t look to offer enough tread for the deep…

I had this on a ride once, was just a slippery type of mud, loose layer on the surface over a harder layer, I was convinced I had a flat and kept stopping to check.

Nothing at all wrong with the bike.

No idea what Clobber’s on about though.

Just trying to work out if you were being serious in saying that a NW ring is more effective than a chain guide?

    Clobber

top guides are way less effective than a narrow/wide ring

    that’s a joke right?

    Clobber

I think I’d get a top chain guide and use your normal rings

I think the bomboloni is going to be the goto 29+ tyre.

Really nice size (big) and shape, good for a mix of terrain
