Do it… 2.4 ardents and ralphs are fantastic, would like to try a 2.35 Hans Dampf as I’ve heard they are quite voluminous too

    +1 for Swift, I have 2 now… 😀

Ardent 2.4 front, it’s massive and helps with comfort on the front and is a great tyre, rolls well, grips well in most conditions. May put the 2.4 ralph on the front if it gets really dry in summer but not good in the slop…

Ardent good on the rear too, 2.4 if single speed or smaller if using gears as the 2.4 interferes with the front mech.

Crossmark good on the back too especially when a bit dryer.

Mud-x or beaver in the nasty mud.

Thats what I use on my rigid swift anyway…

If you can separate a good length, single string and then stick that to the side of a car it looks like a mega scratch, even though it is proud and not an indent.

I had my boss looking around his newly restored BMW 635 coupe, scratching his head and swearing for about half an hour before he touched it… and of course it peels off cleanly…

UK bike store just emailed me to say Hope have ran out of 1.5″ bearings as I was enquiring if the picknmix lower cups were available in different colours (apparently not).

Hope get more bearings in 1-2 weeks time.

Is this the one that fits in a 44mm headtube and allows a tapered fork to fit?

+1 for 2.4 Ralph, love it… Mudx good but low volume, love the new beaver on the back, also crossmark in the summer on the back

Going to try some 2.4 ardents

Tazzymtb, do your wobbly rings go on middle burns?

Definitely the water, drain and rinse after soaking, drain and rinse after cooking keeps it under control for me…! 😆

Rutland say they can’t get one until next year, they reckon they are all gone in the UK. Probably just their usual BS…

Remember to allow resting time after it comes out of the oven but don’t sit it in a draft to cool down!

Definitely do this, wrapped in foil and a teatowel

    I use a Pauls chainkeeper,

I heard that the superstar ones are good value

Don’t think it’s the chainring problem, I always need a chainguide on any of my 1x setups to keep the chain on.

Are you using a shortcage rear mech?

Snow blades are fantastic fun if you stay out of the powder.

The first time I’ve ever looked down at a very steep, black, icy, mogul field with relish and jumped in was wearing blades, something I’d ski around with normal skis if I wasn’t in the mood.
