what turned up was a bag of tat that looked like SIS pre-made outers salvaged from something bought from Argos along with 2 Clarks inners (both the same length). Not a Shimano label in sight.

@Pieface, classic recessionary behaviour is to drink at home (watch tv/movie) rather than go out, add this onto the fact that less people are drinking in pubs anyway and the business is under a lot of pressure. Its all about food now, you can’t make enough money on a pint or two. If we go to the pub and have a drink we spend £10-£20, if we eat we spent £50-£75 (couple).

Do it stumpy, doesn’t take long to get the hang of it, get good blades though, like Astra’s there are some nasty ones out there, I hate Derby’s for instance.

You’ll save the £25 in blades in no time.

Not sure about that sadex, I think there are a lot more advantages.

I find I can tune my shave, where I used to get a rash from multi blade doesn’t happen now because I can do couple of light passes with the single blade in that area. I’ve not had a single ingrowing hair since switching, I don’t feel like I ever need to use a dull blade because the mach12’s are £XX a pop and I need to get my money’s worth out of them, etc.

I think they are a lot more controllable than a multiblade, the only thing I miss about the gillete things is the single blade trimmer thing on the back which was awesome for getting up under your nose which is more tricky with a DE

That synek looks great but pricey! with respect to smaller batches you’ve obviously not told your friends about your brewin, when one of mine is ready they all pile over and it’s gone before I know it hence the longer brew length…

I also want to be able to do a decent size batch for special occasions etc..

Since increasing the size of your stockpot have you increased the volume of water that you mash with to a nearer full volume BIAB?

I use inventor/solidedge/solidworks but thought I’d try sketchup for a house extension, watched a first tutorial and thought how ridiculous it was to use so never even installed it…

I thought it was going to be great, I’ve even recommended it to someone on here based on the hype…
