    That’s a kind offer kraftyone, unfortunately I will be on holiday with 14 of my in-laws and by that time of day I’ve had to hit the hard stuff in order to cope…

    But, if you could send me a gpx or a link to a route that would be appreciated.

    oh really…? 😕

    That’s a bit disappointing, what about going South to or along the coast?

    Lyme Regis, Seaton, Sidmouth?

    I like mine, only used it for a few hundred miles so far, second gear (bigger ring) does feel a little bit draggy but if I need it I am already ploughing at a decent pace or going downhill and you don’t notice it so much.

    Surprising benefit is that it doesn’t rotate the chain wheel when pedalling backwards, therefore when changing feet for cornering berms and such like, your chain never gets hucked up on the block or on the chain guard.

    You also get better ground clearance, no bashed rings.

    Used to have to do this regularly on joint UK/India/Australia calls, that was fun… half the Indians would be on mobiles put near a speaker phone…

    Definitely lumpwood unless cooking for several hours… But what do you use?

    The best good stuff which is also affordable that I have found is the restaurant grade lumpwood from bookers…

    I’d rather stick needles in my eyes than buy a gas bbq.

    Agree with this

    You don’t need to spend big on a webber as a lot of copies do the job well. You just need a good air flow, variable height on the rack.

    Disagree with this, definitely get a weber, do not require variable height as you don’t cook over the coals for the majority of the time (unless steak)

    Always use charcoal, never use brickettes and control the temp by using the air control and lid.

    Agree with this, lid on, air control in the lid to control temp.

    Coals = Barbecue
    Gas = Hob

    A gas burner is not a BBQ. + millions…

    Had a weber kettle for 3 years and a decent outback gas bbq, didn’t touch the outback in three years and just got rid of it…

    The ONLY time I’d consider gas is when you’ve got small children and not a lot of time between getting home from work and having to have dinner ready. Kids are now big enough to wait the extra 15mins or so now, so the gas is gone…

    What position are your brakes in?

    If they point too far down toward the ground they tend to make you feel too far forward, in fear of going OTB.

    Angle them back a bit and it will put your wrists down behind your bars a bit more and may help you feel more confident.

    i couldn’t stick to only drinking the beer on thursdays for the community tasting bit with beerbods, seems too regimented for beer drinking, so on that basis etc..

    Don’t think this is mandatory RD :lol:, I would just like introducing to some new beers, I’ll drink them when I fancy it.
