just don’t get arsey with taeching staff when son/daughter has missed work and then you expect the teaching staff to sort it out – I know you won’t but we have that all the time. One of my Year 11s was off on hols during key coursework time and we were expected to pick up the pieces.

You’re probably right. The 09 are meant to be stiffer as well though. Brant has 08’s at £282 – might get them. I don’t feel comfortable paying more than £300 for forks!

    I think ton’s were 08 with older offset (38mm)?

    I’m tempted by these

but have heard all 08 forks had a ‘knocking’ problem that has to be solved with an aftermarket kit. Also not sure of the offset (says 41 or 48mm?)

Swiftacular – the optimus ti looks fab and I was on the list for one, but they can’t seem to decide if they are doing a new batch and the price has gone to $1995 (£1383) plus shipping, duty, VAT.

Just to say communication from Van NIcholas, and also Terry at Leisure Lakes (VN stockists), about a custom frame has been brilliant. It is certainly worth talking to them if you are fater a custom ti frame.

The new Niner EBB is different and would appear to be an improvemnet.

yes they do have a different ratio – but I reckon they still work with normal levers – but do they work in the slop-dropout frame??

Am I right in thinking the BB7 Road willwork in the On-one slot dropout frames?

Since owning some H-bars everything else feels ‘wrong’! (even Marys). Just need to re-mortgage now to buy a second set.

5’10” 18″ – ride wife’s 16″ occasionally but it always feels too short (both 80mm stems)

just go 1×9, 32 up front, 11-34 cassette. Cover most stuff. Bashring and N-gear jumpstop.

Its one of the frames I’m looking at (in 29er guise); both VN direct and Terry at Leisure Lakes have been very helpful. I’m looking at a custom 29er with sliding dropouts or new Niner ebb.
