I’ve also been looking at these…..love the way the digi face looks “real”, online at least!

Lezyne V10 or something on MTB. And the Pedro’s one built into a QR skewer on the road…. It’s genius and works!

Good luck mate! This site, and case in particular, is worth a read:

I’ve read up a fair bit and the golden rule seems to be keep off the bicep but try to maintain range of movement…. It’s a bit of a balancing act!

Got the very same Op in Jan. Have been told the following by various physio and surgeon’s with the obvious caveat of “everyone’s different”:

6 weeks in a sling, no driving.
Further 6 weeks to complete healing.
Physio for as long as it takes from as soon as you can.
When asked how long until I climb again he pulled a plumber’s face and said 6 months.

I’ve had a lot of pre-hab to try speed things up and trying to live a little “cleaner” as I tend to pile weight on. I’d like to be back at work in 3 months (Fire Fighter, a colleague with the same injury achieved this) I’ll probably have a year off climbing and get proper cardio fit. Want to swim a lot and may even try a triathlon. I’d like to be back on my annual Font bouldering trip in Easter 2016.

That’s outstanding for a truck STR! This new PHEV sounds promising too….

No, 2.2 Diesel. Thought comments practicalities and build quality might be useful since there probably aren’t many phevs out there yet.

Out of interest is your mpg standard or is you’re one mapped? A mate has the 2.5d and gets nowhere near that. But he did like your new storage when I showed him the pics!

    What Woodster said.

Pull shock will naturally rotate the bushes to lengthen the i2i.

    Push shock shorten the i2i.

I’m guessing what that does to the HA depends on frame design and linkages….?

    (On the Homebrew BTW)

Got the 2.2 diesel diamond spec 08 plate. It’s awesome. 5 blokes on a weeks climbing (camping) trip to Font and get 36mpg. Trim fell off…. Dodgy batch of adhesive apparently, sorted under warranty. 4 bikes in the back, front wheel off, seats down. Or stick them all on the roof.

A shit service caused an oil leak that had had numerous knock on effects, clutch, DMF, gearbox!!!! So far shit service man has foot the bill. It has left me a little wounded as otherwise it’s the ultimate car (for me). However, 8 years on for this model and there were no recon gear boxes around as “they just don’t break”. Registered with dealers and breakers nationwide, a month wait and sorted….. Touch wood.

When I change I’ll get the smaller ASX and a van.

One of my tenants decided to fit a Hive tinterweb/smart phone operated thermostat thing before he left. I used to enjoy climbing into the loft when I got cold to adjust the thermostat!?

Karcher window cleaner……for the wife! All heart me, apparently it’s ace 😀

Cast screen? Or there’s a Chromecast Store app that should filter the relevant apps to you.

Not woman specific but a small Titus El G at on-one for that price now. I’ve no idea what the difference between a male/female bike is, but it looks like a steal. Lyriks, CCDB Air, reverb……. Compare the Size/Geo with a woman specific one and see if it’s an option?

I’ve had a 661 evo pressure suit, brand x and a TLD shock doctor. TLD most comfy and cool by a long way! Order a load from crc and send back what you don’t like?

I’ve had at least half a dozen HTC’s all top spec on release, they all slow over time and build quality was never great. The newer aluminium ones may be better. Had a Nexus 5 since release, if anything it gets faster with every software update, which you’ll always get before anyone else.

I don’t have a van yet, but have researched a fair bit as it’ll be my next vehicle. I’d be going transit custom or French if you want to sleep/store bikes transversely, freeing up more space in the forward half of the load bay. A mate just got a Ducato Maxi 180bhp. Took the family fully loaded down to the Pyrenees, said it went like stink. It’ll be a new shape L2H2 Ducato for me when funds allow……

Look on shoulderdoc.co.uk (Lenord Funks site) find a highly rated localish consultant and ask your GP to refer you to them. This was advice from a Dr friend of mine and has paid dividends. My employer sent me down the private route since it was an injury at work. But, they then gulped at the surgery bill, so I requested to see the same consultant on the NHS and it seems the transition from private to NHS will be easier because of it; no need for further investigation as he wrote my MRI report and has case history etc.

What I’m saying is, do some research and request the consultant/surgeon of your choice, it’s your right to do this. I also spoke to a few local physio’s for recommendations.

Interim advice is look after it, but don’t get lazy, muscle wastage in the shoulder sets on pretty rapid. Think “pre-hab” in case an Op is on the cards.

    Good luck!

Boarder/Yorkshire Terrier cross here, he’s a rescue and is unnecessarily submissive sometimes. However, he is great with our 10 month old and has been since we got him 6 months back. He does “mouth” but has an absolute awareness of his bite and I trust him fully with the wee man. However, I’ve also got a Rhodesian Ridgeback and I’ve never owned or even known a dog with such an immaculate temperament. Turbo has been 10years in the making and I’ve sworn I’ll never have a dog other than a Ridgeback ever again, yet I know they’ll never be another like him. Unrealistically high expectations I know, so do I steer clear of the breed to avoid utter disappointment?……..

Ratdog is learning and in 9 years I’m confident he’ll be every bit (almost ;0)) as good as Turbo!

Bottom line is; it’s what you put in. There’s plenty of professional advice out there. Get a pup and see it with the parents, on a number of occasions. Follow your gut, but don’t underestimate the work involved.

    Good luck!

Bite point adjust does zero on my XTs, older ones, but apparently the new ones are equally ineffective. I’d go SLX.

Tell them to ram it, would you let a house you wanted slip by for £300? Similarly they could tell you to foot the bill, would you lose a sale for £300? *PokerFace*.

I realise I’m not helping. But would tell them to ram it.

Try your android again Fin. Mirror functionality on the latest update. Chromecast on the Redbull app won’t let you watch live, so I watched via pinkbike, full screened and mirrored, twas perfect. You can do the same with Chrome browser.

Not for me. Just a bizarre multi brand advert. Can’t deny it’s well put together; keep the theme, make it about riding, not branding.

Seen the lot. Thought the second series was great – same cast, different roles, all very intriguing/very well put together. I’d suggest if you liked the first you’ll like the rest…

What ads678 said. I’ve done sporives purly because they’re not races, just a little challenge. I’m consistently gobsmacked at the standard of the “hobby” rider, it’s phenominal and as a sport we should be a little bit smug about about that.

Someones posted a little bit of a hi 5/kudos to somebody, thats all.

However, hopefullt, when I grow up I’ll be as cool as wanmanwhatever. :0/

Just re-read the OP…..to put a price on it, if I were charged £100 a day for the course I wouldn’t have felt short changed. Your CV should be particular to the role, organisation, pay, nature etc of the job so £120 per CV seems way steeper than learning how to do it yourself. And as mentioned above, how well can they possibly know you?……

I went on a “career transitions workshop” when I left the Army, turned out to be a 3 day CV writing course. Very, very good. Not sure if theres a civvy version out there, but I’d highly recommend it if there ws.

Externally routed KS Lev here, faultless. Lots of people rate Reverbs on here, I know a few people with them, slick when they work, but all have failed at some point. One friend has a reverb sat in his garage rather than eBay it since he’d “rather take the hit than burden some other poor bstard with it”…..he has more money than me.

I know of no post that hasn’t had issues…….

I asked Vamoose about Ducato, they said they’d do it. One of the fitters has a transit too, so I’d guess that’s a go also….

    climbingkev

L2H2 Ducato is my dream van….fits in a regular parking space, sleep transverse with a garage beneath, kitchen half across the sliding door for that open air/let fumes out feel, 2 belted seats in the back, and 4 people can sit whilst someone cooks (standing up) which you cant do in a classic side kitchen VW format……still saving…..

Speak to Vamoose! The did an outstanding job on my brothers. He’s an ex Reimo, SCA bloke who left to design his own stuff….and it’s very good. Single piece metal frames, no wood (like reimo, where the main problem was leaking, so wet wood and consequently staples dropping out), you can stand on the roofs so they’re robust and the gas struts enable one handed operation even with 2/3 kayaks on top. Integral LED, Colour coded; sub £3k.

If you’re riding at Black Rocks then you should be aware there’s LOTS of natural and man made stuff to go at within a 10min drive from there ;0)

Mail in profile, I won’t post here since someone did that in the Crich thread and now that trail is ****. I know the damage can’t be solely attributed to that thread but the timing of mass traffic was uncanny :0(

Just discovered I have a SLAP lesion. To my (googling) knowledge it’s a Bankart to the rear, rather than the front, of the shoulder (I know there’s more to it than that!). The default solution is surgery, but apparently I’m doing well so the specialist suggests going the physio route first.

Have you been operated on, tinybits?
