Absolutely cracking upgrade to the trails!!

The Red is now superb!! Lost a spoke and a bit of skin on the new Black section but its non-stop fun 🙂

Has really moved Llandegla up a notch or two 🙂

    Cheers

Definitely *anti*-clockwise to include Middle Moor near the end.

    🙂

    YMMV

I did manage to get some large Endura overbooteees over my 5.10 Freeriders last winter. The SPD hole did allow some grip.

Is this an excuse to show how gnarly you ride or just how far..? 😉

Did this loop around the Peak.

Torside Res (Longendale) > Trans Pennine Trail > Hadfield > vaguely followed TPT and Pennine Bridleway until Lantern Pike > PBW thru Hayfield > Roych Clough > Rushup Edge > Mam Tor > Edale > Jaggers Clough > Roman Road > Rowlee farm ascent > Lockerbrook descent > along to Cranberry Clough > Cutgate > Langsett via NA farm > BW and TPT to Dunford Bridge > TPT over Woodhead Pass back to start.

Hit the wall going up Cranberry Clough, not nice…

…a great way to see the Peak though 🙂 recommended.

    Cheers, Paul.

Sorry, the routes I know start from Alwinton.

You’ve probably searched the forum for ‘Cheviots’…

    …its a lovely area.

    Cheers.

    Brook’s Drive

Follow the brown dots from Brooklands roundabout, back roads and cycleway around airport…clockwise or anti-clockwise (option of some bridleways near Styal).

Those with a yen for weather forecasts can torture yourselves with the pressure charts at the top left of the link above 😉

f you do it anti-clockwise, don’t come down chapelgate – it’s awful now.
Go over the full rushup edge and then down Mam Tor (couple of options) back to Barber Booth.

Thanks for the heads up! Did this starting out and over the hills from Marple (Roman Lakes) yesterday morning. Makes for a great 35 miler :))

Are we look longer than that time wise?

The route I described (anti-clockwise) should probably be a little under 5 hours given your example…

However, if you want to make it a decent length outing…

    Hollins Cross > Edale > Jacobs > Kinderlow End > Kinder Res. > Middle Moor > Lantern Pike > Birch Vale > Cloughead/Chinley Churn > New Allotments > Peep O Day > Mt Famine > Roych Clough > Rushup…

Middle Moor is worth the extra alone 🙂

    Cheers

Keeps of those harmful UV rays from the bald bonce.

Keeps sweat out of the eyes and off the glass.

Keeps you cooler if you are bald…

    YMMV 🙂

I did it clockwise the day before the ‘Wedding’. Starting from near Cowpe. The gated bit allows you to ease into it.

I found all bar the hill out of Bottomley ridable that way round.

Any idea of a target time? I have an interest in the Kielder 100…

Route pretty much in line with the map in content. Road, fire road, moors etc. Although the loop out of Goathland was different.

One key fork/junction was unmarked. Maybe sign had been removed. Might be a bit tricky filling up more of the red route with riders?

Enjoyed my day out. Thank you to everyone :))
