Definitely need a spare bike for when the favourite is broken.

Maybe sell off and get a nice hardtail. Great fun and contrast to the Stumpy.

You can usually pick up a Boardman HT Pro at 10% off, ~£900.

Taken mine up and down Lakes epics, trail centres and bridleway bashing.

    Has upgraded wheels now…

    Oh yes!

Bit of a looong lunchbreak 😉

Will be working a bit this evening to make up.

Lovely, no Camelbak, no jacket, couple of bottles, hardtail, drying trails…
    …climbed like a demon.

    Descended like a wuss 🙂

    Been thrice.

    La Plagne/Les Arcs
    La Rosiere/La Thuile
    …Yad Moss 😉

All great times. Do your own thing or join in. Your choice 🙂
Tended to avoid too much off-piste if alone on the board.

It is what you make it.

    Do it.

I’ve been with BikenFun half a dozen times.

They cater from sightseeing tours to full on freeride madness.

Check out their website and you can email Claudia before you go to try and sort out what suits.

It is great fun being the English minority 😉

Language is not a problem as one guy said to me ‘you english, are mad’…

Local 30 mile loop in the beautiful sunshine from Stockport.

Think I’ve finally found all the best ways up down and around Werneth Low and Etherow Park…maybe.

Am amazed at the riding from my door 🙂

Being a northern male of a certain age and a taste for stuff other than R&B, folk, pop, C&W, classical…
…I find 6Music by far the best of what is available.

May also explain my fondness for getting over the morning waking pains with another – Shaun W Keaveny 😉

RadMac are a bit Radio 2 though 🙁

Many many thanks for the Pootle today everyone, esp. from the tortoise 🙂

The route rode very well considering amount of rain we’ve been having.

    Cheers and Merry Xmas!!

It could be better tomorrow with Venus and Mercury in similar relative positions and the moon just down right of Venus

Clennell Street from Alwinton. Sunshine, deserted trails, one of the most beautiful corners of the country. Not bad.

Stayed there during the 2nd week in Sept. 4 days of cracking riding!

Best not tell anyone though… 😉

Head east along PBW from Cragg. South-east up along Rooley Moor Road.

Look out for obvious purpose-built bike track off to left/north as you crest the hill.

Try not to go too fast! 🙂

    Great write up, thanks and…

Strangely the light reflected by the loch was brighter than the sky it was reflecting – explain that one please physiscists!

Probably to do with contrast against darker ground. Makes the brain think it is brighter 😉

    – have you got a reference for that, as my understanding is that he’d lost even more weight.

Yes, lost weight over recent years but he did say that he had put a bit on for TT in a documentary.

Looks like 2 tightly constructed tracks with uptrack. Would need walking to clean off some debris.

Only stuff I’ve seen at Woodbank is by the footbridge over the Goyt at the eastern end. Very small. Maybe some other stuff I’ve not seen.
