i’m amazed that people can qualify a genre as being bad/ good, yes there’s shit loads of bad dubstep, but then there’s loads of good. i don’t think the speed is relevant to the genre anymore. it did start slightly faster, maybe 140 but that’s no longer the case.
to decide what is dubstep i’d basically ask, does it have syncopated drums, either high hats or kicks, dubstep can be four four, but it should have a swing. it should also have space, like original dub. skrillex is neither dubstep, nor any good.

i recently went on the great rock basque mtb adventure and what you need when you arrive at the airport is a waving ed with his big bushy beard. Made me feel all special.

i believe that adaptil is the thing you are looking for. i have no idea about it’s effectiveness though. if it’s like felliway for cats, that definitely works.

i’m 6’2″ and a quarter and i ride a 58 caad9. It’s perfect (for me).

i’m using 2×9 for about 6 months now, no regrets at all. Maybe if i had to ride much on the road to get to trails with people that ran 3×9 i might be a little slow, but i don’t. Benefits are, you run a tighter chain so it will drop less often and greater clearance. Will be going to 1×9 at some point soon.

you can use them without trees as a tent if you have something to tie one end to.
