i’d have one (no hate here) and the 19″ is actually a size spot on for me, always been in between sizes on orange frames

shame no ‘frame only’ option though… i’d stick a 140mm fox on it and proper 2.4’s as well

i’m 6’1″ and used to own the original one in its long size (they only did two models then, regular and long) – long at a 613mm eff. top tube

i tried it with Z1’s, revelations and then pikes – pikes were the best imo

reckon if you keep up the programme and keep riding you’ll see an improve next week ton – what is your total loss so far?

i’ve been off the mountain bike for nearly a year now, and now find it tough – although i did manage 10 miles on the bike this morning, even if it had bugger all hills on it!

had something similar with my ford at xmas, faulty relay had caused an battery issue and an engine management warning, therefore the car went into some kind of safe mode and wouldn’t go over 70 mph

I have heard from friends that a combi boiler install from British Gas will cost around £2900 – this includes the current £400 discount. Is this massively expensive? (3 bed detached)

    yes

BG quoted me £2400 for a new potterton combi last year, a local gas safe installer would be quoting £1500-£2000 for the same one depending on your location

main benefit of using BG is their flexible payment scheme

shop around for a cheaper DAS course, i did a five day one last year with CAMrider

included CBT, DAS, insurance, hire of bikes and test charges for under £600

by strange coincidence i’d just been driving around in an automatic hire car whilst my manual was in the garage…. twas a bit crap but the sports button was fun on the lanes

but this thread reminded me of when i struck in traffic on the m6 a while back (i’d just bought an iphone and set up a picasa account the same day – hence the iphone photo) and had my eyes burned out after spending 30 minutes in stationary traffic behind this arsehole – in which i’d turned off my engine, but the beamer 5 series driver kept his foot on the brake light all the fricking time!

i moved lane in the end as the traffic congestion continued further up the m6 and let someone else put up with the brakelight each time we stopped

you’ve just motivated me to take a meter reading and update the details on the web, but your figures look somewhat high

typical edwardian 2 bed mid terrace, double glazed, 13yo combi, front door leaks air like a sieve – roughly 400mm insulation throughout attic as of September and a 5kw log burner installed in October

for the last 4 months (time i’ve been with EDF) i’m averaging:

0.9 units of electricity a day
9.85 units of gas a day

already £82 in credit after four months

    Stats

    Lumens theretical full 2620
    medium 1300
    low 600

holy moly! thats going to set the forest alight you mad man! 😉 my L&M only does 675 tops

but was very disappointed with the output of a supposed 700 lumen Exposure Toro Mk1 i have so wondering whether 700 lumen LED is actually comparable to a similar lumen HID beam – the Arc was much better – but just charged the L&M up, but its not working now, so time for a change i suppose

quite interested in future beam shots when the angles are sorted – i’ve always been happy with my L&M Arc beam, but it was six years old and the big boys with their six packs were drowning it out completely plus the HID beam had a central hot spot that was a bit too bright

tyre choice and wheel weight is simply not an issue for 29ers at all…

i recommend you try a test bike (29er) round your usual trails and start saving for a new 29er 😆

Question with an 13inch Mac Book Pro I fail to see the reason for buying an iPad
as I get great battery life and can do everything and have it all to hand.

If I was worried about weight I would consider an Apple Mac Book Air

bacause Mac Book Pro costs over twice the price of a ipad2…

mmmm liking that as a cheaper alternative to the L&M Seca 1400 and much lower profile

what are the stats like, output / run time etc?

can’t ride with a bar mounted light (like riding with one eye closed), been used to my L&M Ultra Arc thingie for years, but it doesn’t half take several hits riding round delamere with this profile

out of your selection – i’d be sticking to a steel 29er so the right size Swift, but there are plenty of options available

i’ve suffered with back problems in the past and tried lots of different HT frames, (in a very rough order of uncomfortableness on my back) such as, Dialled Morning Glory, Orange Evo2, Cove Hummer, two 29er Scandals, Brodie Holeshot, Cotic Roadrat with drops, Evil Sovereign, a rigid Salsa Mamasita, Cotic Soul, GF Ferrous 29er, custom Lynskey 29er, On One Ti29er, – the most comfortable ones being the last (all 29ers)

a 29er wheel (cause of the length of the spokes) also provides a bit more comfort/give over a 26er wheel

Can anyone offer me any insight as to which iPad to buy?

go for the 32mb wifi only model as a minimum (£80 over the base model)

i’ve got the ipad2 64gb earlier this year and its got around 33gb spare at the moment, thats with my music, photos, some selected podcasts and 20hr of movies on it
