give your local environmental health office a call asap

they do have some power (like the HSE inspectors) such as the right to enter a premise etc. and deal with nusiance from smoke and smells under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (EPA).

problems with smoke/fumes/gases entering into your property would be classed as a health risk and therefore be rated as a “statutory nuisance” under this Act

nope – not for me either…

not a fan of 4x4s on stanage, but have managed to live with it and pass safely when they always block the same section and end up grinding axle

unfortunately the biggest idiots on the trails are the cyclists and walkers imo, and its the 4×4’s, cross bikes, horses that do the most damage to the ground

She “likes to resolve the problems”

Really means – shout and whine at a window fitter, because she didn’t manage her own suppliers properly and didn’t think about the wiring

Marble was nice, but overall nothing special – still a pokey basement in holland park that’s over priced and at risk of flooding if your neighbours pipes burst

    from google:

Bituminous Coal, commonly called “Lump Coal” or “House Coal” is not suitable for multi-fuel stoves and it’s use would probably invalidate the stove’s warranty. It burns with long flames which pass around the throat plate and play directly on the unprotected top of the stove with the likely result of a burned out throat plate and/or cracked top plate. Bituminous coal also creates high volumes of soot which can block the throat plate and flue, causing fumes to be emitted into the room with potentially fatal results.

Got an AGA Little Wenlock in a sale for £500 ish and its excellent.

4.7KW so you dont have to put vents in your room!

+1, although i wish mine only cost £500!

avoid the cheap chinese crap, a relative bought one for £250 and two years later has ended up replacing it – you generally get what you pay for

Damn expensive boathouse this week, with posh nimby’s not happy about it

But had to laugh at them employing the ex-husband as architect only for him to bugger off during demolition works!

That exposed re-bar was a bit naughty though

when my house was burgled four years ago they took three bikes, work laptop and my car keys – the gits did it undercover of the fireworks on the 5th december

my experience of the local police was very poor, they did attend but when one £3k bike appeared on ebay they were useless in helping getting it returned – the work laptop did turn up in a house raid several months later and a local gang arrested – they all lived on the same council estate – and had been burgling in the local area (residential and commercial – even did a local hotel)

the bike had been sold on to a fence (who lived 20 miles from me) for £300 by three teenagers – he was aware it was stolen and managed to get raise £1500 on ebay before auction winner realised it was stolen and contacted his local police – and they cautioned him and took the bike from him

the lad who had my work laptop and a bedroom full of various stolen gear went to court and got a 12 week suspended sentence and walked free – he lived with his parents and they never wondered/asked how their unemployed teenage son obtained all these various items – it was one of his neighbours that told the police about all sorts of bikes and kit coming and going from their council house, which led them to raid it

at least my local police have the scrotes on their radar now, but for what was a £3k bike to me, was £100 each to those three lads in drugs money

just shows how different the USA’s laws are (and outdated imo)..

in comparison to the UK, those guys were ‘as armed up’ as UK armed police at airports i.e. with semi auto MP5’s

couple of years ago i had a temporary office in Salford Quays for 6 months and i used to park up near Dunham Park, and commute in 2/3 times a week along the Cheshire Ring Canal – route was about 10 miles as an alternative to the sustans route, found it to be a more direct and relatively traffic free route apart from around Dumplington (now known as Trafford Park  )

used my alfined scandal 29er – parts near durham were bumpy and very wet (great when dry though), the sections through Sale had been resurfaced with smooth gravel

you could use the 62 from warrington, then get on the canal west of broadheath to avoid the strange route around carrington

Got a 60 Tit X hatch from new with 32k on the clock now

Find the mpg poor (40), but that’s a combination of 163hp, 18″ wheels and my right foot

It’s massive, so consider models with the parking sensors, drives very nicey, not slow for its size and very well spec’ed inside, heated and cooled seating are a nice touch

Get used to sticking £90-£95 in a tank, and avoid the 18″ wheels as they are so much more expensive than the 17″ tyres – had all mine changed at 26k and the company bill was just under £800, a private owner turning up at kwikfit without advance booking is looking at £270 each for the decent conti’s fitted

I’m thinking it will need a new kitchen, bathroom, carpets and full decoration. Contractual wise what should I be looking for?

Anything between £5k-£10k, depending on quality of finish and whether you are doing it yourself or using tradesmen

Basewash is a Deodorising cleaner and conditioner for synthetic technical underwear and wicking clothing worn next to the skin

Whilst Techwash is a cleaner of your wet weather gear and helps keep them breathable

and DX Direct to add water repellency to waterproofs

Only ever used Techwash and DX Direct myself

    I think the logic is:

Without the rim strip – use inner tube/any type of tyre
With plastic rim strip – use sealant/UST or tubeless ready tyre and if you get away with it a regular tyre

    chunkypaul
    Free Member

Been running 2011 tubeless ready NNs and RRs on my bontrager tubeless ready rims with no issues whatsoever

But if you have the non-tubeless ready tyres, you’ll need lots of sealant as the sidewalls are very porous

I’ve tried it with RRs and in the end only had success after using a prittstick on the inside on the sidewalls to glue up the biggest holes

The majority of the time I stick to UST or tubeless ready tyres with sealant for excellent results
