full 30mm of travel when i use mine

what pressures are people using? i tend to use 10-20psi higher with the dual position forks than the 150mm dual air ones

TLR – the dual position rev’s are solo air forks not dual air

    Any update on conditions today?

as ‘myheadsashed’ mentions – don’t forget the Alpine 5 as well

Orange Alpine 5 and Orange 5

my old patriot was so much better going down though versus my 5

got the 2011 “RLT Ti Dual Air” and the “RLT Ti Dual Position Air” models in 20mm guise

prefer the dual airs as they are much plusher and get more travel out of them, undecided on the dual positions as they need more air to keep them at the height i want – mine do re-extend when you pump them, but i don’t use the 120mm setting as much as i thought i would

don’t rule out the sektors and the older revelations as cheaper alternatives

probably stating the obvious here; but the chainstays look like there will be very little clearance between front mech and rear tyre – i know, i know it’s a prototype… just saying

    the ikon’s look quite summer/racey tyre…

strangely my well used five year old L&M Arc Ultra is doing the same

turn it on, it fires up, put the battery pack into the camelbak and feed whatever loose cable in as well and then it occasionally turns itself off

turn it on again and it works fine throughout the nightride – put it down to a loose cable

considering a L&M Seca if it dies though as the battery pack can be used on it as a spare

got mine off the classifieds quite cheap and with a bargain price spring from CRC had a nearly new coil shock for my five for £200

the compression adjustment is recommended on the fives suspension, only problem is that you’ll quickly want a coil fork on the front to match!

Also helping out though is proper forks like said Rebas becoming avaialble and nice big grippy tyres. Trail riding kit, basically. This meant I could design the bike I wanted. I’m looking forward to it. If the fast rolling thing works this thing is going to be killer fast.

hmmmph! rebas and nice big grippy tyres for 29er’s have been around for several years now cy! <end of crit>

looking forward to seeing the geometry details and rear dropout options – even though i don’t really need another 29er HT, unless the urge grows to replace my GF Ferrous

quite agree with the OP and generally laugh at FS posts along the lines of this…

‘hardly used XTR pedals – i’ve bought them for £80, and noticed that they can be advertised for £120 therefore i’m giving them away for £85’

    **** right off

    Pikes aren’t THAT heavy IMHO.

ha! had a set of 409 coils which came in at over 2.5kg…..

    my 454 air u-turns are 2160g, and the 150mm coil u-turn sektors are 2040g

out of interest, does the rear tyre clearance still suck like the old ones did? i.e. can’t put anything bigger than a 2.1 on the rear

got a few spares and interested in the blue gobi, a quick check and i’ve found (listed in order of condition)

a brand new and unused Charge Spoon Ti in white with blue stitching
    a lightly used SDG Ti-Fly (maybe a Ti-Fly C) in black with CrN/Ti rails
and an older used WTB Rocket V in black with grey piping

got any piccies of the gobi’s?

always liked the crush, but the hx1 looks great as well – alternatively the saracen zen gets a love in here:
    Zen 4

thing i don’t like about the crush/zen4 or is that they stick a triple on it and no isg05 mounts, plus the wheelset on the crush is a bit pants

just had this on my mini mac/timemachine set up – updated Itunes and it all went pear shaped

time machine couldn’t find a internet connection and wouldn’t work, just needed a reboot of the mac/tm and bthomehub before tinternet and backups started working again, why itunes update did this – no idea
