personally i prefer the red tile clad finish

which will last much longer than the typical timber clad dormer

but you can get wood effect cement board now – Marley Eternit Cedral

Get the work done and pay for it yourself but never forget. Give her dead eyes whenever you pass and blank her in the street. Never take in parcels for her and gossip and bitch about her with your other neighbours and with your wife. That’s what I’d do.

this and then find jasons crappy white van and deposit several banana’s up the exhaust for being a **** to your wife

i’m stuck with a set of these wheels as well – a quality disc wheelset but 130mm rear hub

always wonder if they will work on a ti frame such as a tripster or pickenflick

It occurs to me though that any play in the interface, while not being an issue if used to tow a trailer, could be a problem with a bike rack cantilevered off it.

not an issue when you use it properly (within the weight limit)

been using a Witter removable bar with an Atera rack like below for four years and no issues

You don’t need a crystal ball, just a grasp of very basic maths.

you quote no mathematics though…. just DOOM predictions of what WILL happen in the future

we can forecast, but we don’t really know do we? or perhaps the tm’ed binners crystal ball franchise is on a roll…

can i have the winning jackpot numbers for the next euro lottery binners plz?

can I ask, why people presume that there will be no state pension in the future?
has this fact ever been published or stated anywhere.

i don’t know – but i do LOL when binners ALWAYS comes out with the ‘pensions we’re all DOOMED’ statement on threads such as this….

thats some crystal ball he has…

one of the keys aims of the ‘Cycle To Work Scheme’ is to encourage cycling by avoiding the large upfront costs associated with buying a bike or cycle equipment as this can be a deterrent for people wanting to start cycling to work

I recently did a few pension calc’s and found that a lot of the assessible web based calculators from the big companies varied massively (the Standard Life one as an example).

This one is quite good, but you have to check the qualifications

pensions are long term investments – 30-40 years, so taking a 12month view IMO a bit pointless really

your money has just been used to pay someones bonus in the City, so they can retire at 40 and appear on the next series of Escape to the Country…

its good value, but not stunning IMO

a cheap as chips frame and fork, bobbins wheelset and an old groupset (soon to dive in value as soon as the new 105 5800 floods the market)

swopping to an air fork will save a huge amount of weight and change the handling a lot

i tried my cotic with a pike 409 coil u turns but hated it and only lasted one ride with them – far too heavy a fork for a steel HT imo, i finally settled with a set of 120mm dual air rebas with a 20mm axle

the problem you will have is buying a new fork that has a 1 1/8 inch steerer, 120-130mm travel and the 20mm axle

imo you’d best try find a second hand 150mm air revelation (with the 20mm maxle) that can have a 20mm travel reducer fitted – so you end up with a 130mm fork that fits the frame and saves you around 550g (1.3lbs) over your coil pikes

most new 130mm forks have a 15mm thru axle

ps forgot to mention just like captmorgan says – don’t simply order of the website, phone and ask for their best price when you place the order and you can normally get an extra 7-8% of the website listed prices as a minimum

construction industry here (large plc – around 45,000 staff)

most are sick of no pay increases for years x poor pension x crappy benefits x six month contracts = poor morale / no loyalty and poor performance – its not exactly rocket science

admin, engineers and site managers been leaving en mass all year – mainly to competitors for silly 20-25% pay increases

management hands tied by senior executives policies (usually too late to offer an improved package)

the senior executive team – know that market place is improving, yet no pay increases or recruitment, jst appear happy with the reducing overheads

and keep introducing ‘enhanced reward schemes’ for loyality i.e. money off vouchers/buy more holiday schemes etc- but staff don’t want 10% off vouchers for a trip to legoland ffs or buy an extra 2 weeks off on leave – that doesn’t pay their mortgage

as for the major clients – increasingly want more for absolutely nothing

renton – don’t bother going off and wasting time and money doing anything to it now

its on the market already, changing the colour of the wall or extra planting isn’t going to be a deal clincher for this place, really

viewers will either be FTBers or BTRers – and new owners can easily repaint themselves and BTRers dont give a **** (its all about their return – no offence BTRer but you suck)

using a the colour of wall as a negative point on your property is a piss poor example of an excuse imo

its clean and tidy, well presented, near a school and doesn’t need immediate work to move in – then it’ll come down to the price

leave the viewings to the agent – make them work for their money, imo 90% of viewers are idiots and not worth your time and effort, don’t panic

timing is everything, if it had gone on the market before easter, you would of completed months ago imo

Can someone fill me in with the background on why Alex Salmond is so so keen to keep the pound?

because he is trying to set up the very best position for an iS

like with a divorce – he wants the kids, the house, the car, the savings and the pension out of the settlement, then after a long negotiation, agree somewhere in-between

and then in 10 years time (or whenever the EU and economy dictates) ditch pound sterling for the euro

swopping 300 years of horrible evil english overlords for their new exciting federal german overlords instead….

As nearly 3 seconds of googling would have confirmed, Baroness Warsi has been a life peer for years.

life peers don’t automatically work at the HoL, but yes she is eligible to work there

although having paid researchers provide data for her written responses on the party line isn’t quite such a toughie really

the question remains to be seen… nice job in the HoL’s on the cards?

OP really? bit of a shame in my book

i’d rather we had politicians that stood up and continue to fight the right cause, rather than resign before an upcoming GE and after she had been demoted

its a poorly finished construction detail, done on the cheap

the mortar WILL crack and break up eventually – a few terrace houses near to me have similar roof details where slate has been replace with concrete tiles and the levels are different and they generally use a decent lead flashing along this junction, which makes maintenance a whole lot easier but doesn’t look great either

a bit like this, but not as tall

the positive news is if you do have the corodrain product underneath and it has been installed properly above any felt/sarking – i wouldn’t worry that much about water penetration as its designed to act as a waterproof seal or an abutment soaker (but it doesn’t appear to have an agrement certificate)

you don’t have any gutters on either property?
