    Skywalker = flow

A complete tool from Kent. Got busted for posting a video of himself.. that wasn’t him.

A sad bitter little man who doesn’t really ride, except cycle paths. Probably why he’s angry.

it seems to me that these bikes attract the yobo’s-thugs of the mountain biking world.
i for one will not support this brand after seeing them silly-mindless video’s on here!

You mean the special northerners vids doing trials on AM bikes?

To be fair it’s better than a certain person posting a vid of them supposedly riding, then get busted as its actually somebody else….

Raleigh USA have really good stuff. Raleigh UK remains in the domain of Halfords, i.e crap

What are the wheels in that picture?

I’ve run countless UST tyres in the Alps for years. Like others said it depends what you’re doing as there will always be a compromise.

For uplifts then the old ST HR 2.4 and Minion rear is a solid combo. The Fat Albert 2.4’s should be ok for both up and down, jack of all trades, master of none.

The worst tyre for me was the 2.4 (balloon) RQ’s, very fragile sidewalls and my mate had his ripped open. Inspected mine at the end of the week and found I’d been living on borrowed time with them. Several tears that were down to one last thin layer.

    Bonty’s are good too.

Have always wanted a Lefty for some reason. But never even owned a Cannondale.

You don’t need a Cannondale to run one

It’s a myth about going down a size for a cross bike.

5’11 here on a 56cm On One dirty disco.

Any good quality bearing grease will do. I use some Pace stuff.

Cool so first bit is ride up the fire road and then hike-a-bike the that bit?

Yep a bit of bike on shoulder stuff and a walk through some snow. But well worth what awaits on the other side 😮

Last time I rode La Varda the small lift at the end was working. So that dumped us back up to the other end of Les Arc, which was nice! Then tranversed across via sweet singeltrack.

When I went with Coolbus, we were dropped off at Col de Petit St Bernard and then dropped down to La Thuile from there down some very off piste stuff – it was an epic day!

    Aye it’s good innit 8)

Must be going mad then Stevo. I thought we used it on our backcountry week.

    *goes for a lie down*

Don’t think we used it in 2009. We took the van up and then climbed over to La Varda remember. 2010 everything was open.

La thuile, Italy is a right giggle. Awesome Ice cream too!

Best way to get to La Thuile is to ride down to it from the top of the St Bernard pass. Awesome fun. Stevo from the White Room guided us down that way.

Deffo check out the Adidas stuff. A few guys I ride with use them and really rate them.

Oakley for city boy types trying to buy a lifestyle image (I’ll add the nauseating wink) 😉

It will depend who you get at the checkout desk and what mood they’re in

Worn DU bushes will give you play in the swingarm (that you’ve replaced). The mounting spacers won’t effect play in the swingarm

Organic for me. I’ve run them in wet gritty conditions in the Alps for days on end with no issues. They are way better in the damp than sintered, quieter and have better modulation and more power. They are better with heat too as the sintered get super hot – due to the metal content obviously. Sintered are designed to wear less.

As you can see from the mixed bag of answers above – it’s down to personal experience, riding style etc.

Very good pic. Fence in good condition, gravel neat and tidy and paving all in order. Cranks aligned for photo as are the tyre logo’s. 10/10!

Although there looks to be a bit of dampness to the right but nothing that can’t be corrected easily.

Mine go in the shower cubicle with the wheels off, then I just do the wheels seperately.

Nice frame, post pics when you’re done. I’d recommend road BB7’s, superb brakes.

I’m sure the SLR can easily handle whatever is thrown at it in the UK or Alps. Despite ‘pushing’ on the descents, I suspect it’s probably been tested way up to and beyond it’s limit – which most people will never get near.

I’ve got the Rival build. Very good it is too.

Why not speak to on-one about the wheels? They could advise or recommend a different set.

yep it was bleak and quite an effort getting there (all down hill on the way back though). I gave up with the pics as you couldn’t see much in the end.

cx bikes are great…there brakes aint too great though!

found loads of new trails which is always good.

number 3? you count turton tower?

The BB7’s on my CX are awesome 🙂
