    Short travel giggles…

    I was amazed how supple and plush the Scalpel was with the shock in the open position – felt like a lot more travel.

    I reckon a Rush with 110 travel or a Scalpel at 80mm – and the Dales have a super low BB, which I know gets you aroused.

    Can’t see a problem aligning most modern post mount brakes – they are indeed a POP to setup.

    Not like the old days with IS and shims… PITA they were.

    Are you sure they are the UST versions? I’ve got RQ 2.2’s and the sidewalls are pretty solid.

    No need to buy new with the STW classifieds – so much unused kit going cheap.

    Montreux has plenty of great riding above the town. I used to go there for work and hired a bike each time. Try and talk to some locals to get the best out of the trail network.

    And as everyone else said you will have access via train to some awesome stuff. Nice town in the summer (bit grim and dull in the winter IMO).

    I’ve seen a few gear cable inners zip-tied to stays

    Tends to impair gear-shifting…

    To be fair his wrist was bust at the time, so any shifting wouldn’t have been that great

    I used to like Bike Park just off Covent Garden. Cannondale Pro team wrench monkey called Dean used to work there – top bloke and shop. They also had a huge subterranean place just off the Kings Road, sofa’s and video’s playing, coffee and grub – 12+ years ago. It’s now a hairdresser to the Chelsea set 🙁

    i didn’t know there was a Cycle Surgery at London bridge?

    Evans = Starbucks innit

    People will always use them regardless of the quality of the product. Big brand, big marketing.

    Cycle Surgery has always had a different approach to who it hires. So you’ll always get proper bike people. And yeah, the Chalk Farm one has always be a really good one.

    Who said it shortens the shock length? Are you not just adjusting the shock position with the off set bushings?
