Just spent a few days exploring St foy and les arcs and reckon they are both massively over rated. The uplift in St foy is really Micky mouse and the marked trails are ok but nothing special, the dh off the top cable car at les arcs is rubbish, the stuff down to vilandry is ok but again nothing special ( same goes for the 8 and the 7), the cachette is fun but not half as good as the runs in Deux alpes. I did find some good stuff from arcs 1800 towards seez but any French wooded hill side has similar riding. I really don’t understand what all the fuss is about, for enduro type riding the Vosges, the ubaye, the Val d’allos and the alpes maritime are all way better. For downhill, Deux alpes blows les arcs away ( as do quite a few other places) .

    Which guide did you use…

Yeah it’s massively over rated – don’t go back 8)

You obviously found all the best bits so just leave it to us people that think it’s over rated. 🙂

I think the rear of your rush would take a 650b easily as it doesn’t have the brace like the later ones (a few have been done on the MTBR cannondale forum). Lots of new 650b forks coming out 🙂

Julio, you should just 650b your Rush.

Sainte Foy is ace, prefer it to Les Arc. Quiet awesome natural trails.

No full facers mincing about wearing PJ’s!

The good old Nokia 6210 or 6310. They go on and on. Even survive being dropped in a pint.

I think a Reverb would cope with the trails of Pimlico and Vauxhall.

Just got home after a weeks awesome Alpine singletrack with Stevo (The White Room).

Thoroughly recommended! The Cake is awesome too.

Opposite here too. I put some RQ UST’s on a few weeks back ready for the Alps. Haven’t had time to put sealant in yet and my girlfriend confirms they are still at high pressure. Used them a few years back and had no issues with leaks then either.

Maybe the person having issues with the RQ’s has damaged the bead or something.

    Yup. I work bloody hard.

Although hiding from the searing heat at the moment.

There are some that seem to be on here 24/7 though.

Even with Halfords vouchers you can use them at loads of different bike shops. Halfords will have a list on their website.

It’s best to do it not wearing pants. Says so in the manual.
