I was disappointed when I got a text from DPD saying ‘sorry we couldn’t deliver your parcel as nobody was in to sign, we’ve left a card.’…

Well firstly no you didn’t leave a card you lazy gobshite and secondly about 400 people were in my office including the post room… Quick phone call to DPD and the driver sheepishly arrived 45 mins later with my parcel…

However the Ibis warranty is 3 years and the SC is 5 years.

To be honest from my experience and what I’ve read of others, Ibis will always see you right and look after you. Someone on MTBR got a MK1 Mojo HD second hand, well over 3 years old – cracked swingarm… Ibis sent out a new one FOC.

I’ve had the grey one on order for a couple of months now. My 6yr Flux has finally given up.

Hmmm, I smell the aroma of male cow excrement.
    POSTED 2 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

To be fair that aroma is around on many of your posts…

+ 1 for Bicycle in Richmond.

But also a couple of miles down the road from there I’d see the chaps in Pearson’s in Mortlake/Sheen. Lots of CX stuff and the guys know their stuff (plus it has a cafe with coffee and cake 🙂 )

    Road yes, mtb NO

And this is exactly what I like about it. The trails lose the fair weather riders who are scared of getting their mtb’s dirty 😆

Lovely quiet trails, the smell of autumn and cool colours.

Just buy better or new tyres..

What a daft thing to say.

Of course new tyres stay new 🙄 And better ones are immune to anything they contact on the road and will never cut or puncture 🙄

Personally I’d put Shimano brakes alongside Tektro.
But comparing Shimano to Hope’s! They’re a totally different class. The Hope’s make a mockery of the Shimano units.

As said before any brake will lock a wheel up but that’s irrelevant it’s about the delivery, adjustability, serviceability, reliability, spares availability……….
And the Hope sets win hands down plain to see.

If your budget doesn’t allow for proper brakes then fine,
Shimano offer a cheap alternative but somehow have managed to take the old adage “buy shite, buy twice” as a positive.

Had Hopes for years, then one day tried some of the new XT’s… now all my bikes are running Shimano. My cheap deore’s even laugh in the face of the Hope’s.

Would look nice in naked UD or matt finish. I think 12K gloss carbon looks gash.
