10 years since I last rode there at the weekends..

The stormtroopers can’t or don’t do weekdays thankfully.

So how often do these torque wrench users get their wrenches calibrated?

Was out there a few weeks back. Awesome trails, lung busting climbs.

Stretched out is good, nice for your core too.

I have a Ribble R872, race geo – so comfortable now for me. I got fitted by a chap at work – he has a very good CV in such things 😀

Yeh, better to buy your bike parts from a company on the other side of the world, who make fishing kit, and don’t supply spare parts for their stuff.

I don’t need spare parts, because my brakes are made by Shimano, not Hope.

    +1

Amazing how I’ve not needed any spare parts for my Shimano’s in the last couple of years.

Always had shiny new spare parts arriving for the Hopes though when I ran them….

    They work
No constant messing with pad clearance
    Cheap
    Easy to bleed
    Tons of power

I have full Shimano kit on both my full sus mtb and my commuter and unless something seriously goes wrong with the company I shall run Shimano for all eternity.

Even their ‘low end’ road stuff on my commuter rarely misses a beat.

Yup. I got the mega cheap Deore deal from Merlin a while back also. The brakes are fantastic. They replaced M4’s. I won’t quote the performance difference, as not to upset the Hope fanboys.

Most of them are in Richmond Park hiding behind the trees with a radar gun (sitting in their 4×4’s naturally).

Having seen a few of them up close, I think cycling may benefit their health – and the ability to catch a crim on foot.

When you think about how much your $2000 trail-conquering/all-mountain steed costs to run per year it’s probably ok value for money. Compared to the price of the woods behind NatWest in Swindon, less so.

Converting the US dollar, that’s only about £1,200…..

Plus I had no idea horses were that cheap. More expensive to run a year than a bike.
