Oh dear MrSmith is off on one. Bless.

Go polish your Cervelo while muttering about people having a crack at a biking event.

It’s not my kind of event either, doesn’t mean I have a downer on the event or the people in it.

I’m guessing MrSmith is Surrey dweller, maybe on a Cervelo, BMW car, hating people doing ‘his’ sport on ‘his’ roads.

You’re the one mostly whinging about it. Perhaps give us a run down of your racing credentials.

You seem a bit angry about it all. Chill out and don’t stress yourself about it.

Go out for a ride a pretend you’re beating everyone.

Well done to all those rode the event. All the grumps stayed indoors.

Bit of a whinger aren’t you MrSmith.

Always looking at the negatives. All hail the riding god.

You could wrap and old bit of innertube around the Horst link to see if it stops the noise. Then find a neater solution. I think you can get a rubber boot for the mech. Lappier used to do one with there bikes as the Horst link was close to the mech.

Rear mech hitting the Horst link?

I’ve ridden one of those stages, brutal but a right giggle. Really fast but loads of chop and rock gardens.

The 2.5hr climb in 30+ degrees heat however was not a giggle.

Brailsford rides in Team Sky kit and Tinkoff rides in Saxo-Tinkoff kit. Neither of them are neophytes but neither of them rides for the team.

He’s the Director.. Paid by British cycling, Sky and associated sponsors.
He’ll also ride in it as its free! Unlike the Canary Wharf banker shelling out the coins.

I have to wear team kit for my job even though I don’t play in the squad. Part of my salary is from sponsors.

I take it you wear Sky Rapha kit then? 😮

If there was a footer to declare then all in the trade could do so. As it is, there isn’t, and again, it was a fact / piece of info posted without opinion. If I’d have said it was the best bike at a grand bar none, that would be wrong. Simply posting a bike I know of at the mo that’s not bad for under 1000 doesn’t need disclaimers, as with anything posted on here it’s up to the readers to judge what’s a good bit of info or not I think.

Just ignore him mate, most people do. Tedious doesn’t begin to describe him…

Anyway, my mate has one of those bikes you linked to and it’s pretty good.

Some shops give discounts and some will throw in freebies; worth asking really.

Be sure to ask next time you’re at a supermarket. Or your local corner shop for a pint of milk. After all, they’re only there to give you a discount and some freebies. You deserve it, just for asking, no matter what. They’re not there to provide a service, and woe betide that anyone should be allowed to actually make a living out of it….

    FFS.

Say’s the guy who always bangs on about the cheesiness that is ‘just give the chaps so doughnuts and biscuits, they always then ‘sort’ me out, wot wot’ 🙄

A hell of a lot of the full-face brigade probably wouldn’t ride some of it 😆

It’s fast flowing technical singletrack, steep with some chunk thrown in every now and then. Lots of loose rock and scree also – which is awesome drifty fun.

It’s a blast basically. Long lung busting climbs though as there isn’t much uplift.
