I had a completely different experience with that set up last year. Won't return (not with the operator anyway).

2.2 UST isn't black chilli at the moment, but as John said they are due soonish.

I've got the 2.4's and love them, hammered them in the Alps also with no problems. No punctures and no sidewall issues. Way better than MK's IME.

Yeah the carboard box is good, until your box is stuck on the tarmac on the baggage trolley in the rain. Have seen several naked bikes and parts with a few bits of cardboard hanging off them. I have a Dakine case and fit a full suss bike in and it comes in just under the allowance.

I've never been charged in all the years I've been taking my bike on planes. Planning and choosing the right airline helps.

Everyone moaned about the cable routing at first, but in reality is works really well. Full outers all the way too.

Why do you let the large LBS influence your decisions? If you think you can sell them then do it.

Been tubeless for 7 years. Can't understand why people still use tubes (IME & IMO). Gets boring waiting for people to fix punctures – particularly when your guide for a weeks holiday slags off tubeless (and every other bit of kit you have), then you have to wait for him to fix his hourly puncture.

I have some 7 year old 959's, still running smooth and have never serviced them or taken them apart. Tried some Candy's, they lasted 2 weeks before they fell apart. I guess there is a reason they come with a load of spares.

My old Kona Paddywagon made the same noise, reminded me of my Raleigh Striker. I read somewhere it was a common thing on them. Cheap hubs I guess. Sold the bugger anyhoo.

Why not ask Alan from Chumba? Or are you trying to dig him out of the huge hole he dug himself over on mtbr.com?

A lot of people don't care about that stuff in the graph. Alan does, even though he hasn't got a clue what he's talking about.

Sit near where your bike is stored on the train (usually a cabin behind the Engine). Bikes do get nicked.

I am surprised he wasnt knifed whilst he lay there.

Isnt that the done thing these days, if someone is defenceless thats just an invite to inflict even more harm.

I agree with Rich, you'll find workmanship and materials are superior to the 'made in USA' types – in most cases. People get sucked into the marketing.

At least 'made in USA' Intense bikes are coming out with ok alignment, recently…
