Your fork will be fine for the Spot. DT has beefed up the headtube for people who want to run forks up to 160mm (which he will warranty). How tall are you? I'm 5'11 and got a large, best fitting bike I've owned, I was one of those people that was always between medium and large.

I think Bromley Bikes have some frames at £1495, a few other places too.
All the bikes you've mentioned are great and you won't go wrong with any of them.

Why didn't you try it with the same rebound? Seems like a pointless test to me. It could be that it felt better on the second run due to slower rebound.

    You should work for MBR……

I was lucky enough to have two helmets at the time (last winter). I've ordered a DX Extreme helmet mount now. Much cheapness.

It's an old Blackburn Light mount. With a bunch of zip-ties and some old bits of lighting bracket you can cobble something together.

I fancy some Alpine action again coogan. We will have to weigh our DW Spots though, just to be sure they work ok. Plus we have to make sure they look good in the car park. (please make sure your Spot is angled so everyone can see it).

Always liked your Spot heihei – nice build. I went from a HL Nic to a DW Spot too and wouldn't go back.

I thought the rule was that anything that TLR had was always the best. So this thread is useless really.

    duggie – interesting……why ?
the FR is a Freeride bike and the current crop of DW Turners are trail / xc orientated………

That really depends who's riding it… (add wink or stupid smiley face etc)

if you want a better one then get the more expensive one, you cant really compair a £60 budget version with a £250 GD.

Superstar emailed me the instructions and its easy to service.

And i love the way now anyone called neil is immediately hounded as fruit. lol typical forum lack of accuracy and evidence. Hand + Palm = fail

I was given one with the frame, but then again it was collected straight from the Turner Factory 8)

You can run longer forks on the DW Spots because the back end doesn't squat down at all. I run mine with a Lyrik and don't really wind the fork down as the front end doesn't wander. I didn't even touch the travel adjust even on longer climbs in the Alps.

    They are a giggle.

They are huge! Massive volume, some frames will struggle with the 2.4's.
