What Al said. A classic STW holier than thou thread. I think the subject of trail errosion is just an excuse for the usual 'overbiked' bollox.

You'll still get numpties screwing up bermed corners etc

Wow aren't you the best

Boardman isn't a brand then? The way you describe it, it's a niche.

I have a tried and tested suspension design with better kit than a lot of your Yetis, Pivots or Santa Cruzs for a lot less money than you will have paid for those.

Snowcard for me. I told them the cost of my bike also and they gave me a really good price. You pay a little extra for peace of mind.

Flooks sorted mine out (they were pissing oil). Resized the bushings and put a new seal in that they custom cut. Buttery smooth now and were superb in the Alps.

I thought the SL just had the carbon lever. I used to have some but found them too inconsistant and lacked real power for my size, but I guess they are really lightweight xc brakes. That was a few years back.

Wear some skinny jeans, they will treat you better then. To be fair most of their clients don't have brakes, so maybe they've forgotten what they are….

I too have inlaws in Corsica – they actually have a self contained flat they rent out. They live between Sartene and the Sea. 10 mins from the Sea, 10 mins from Sartene.

Ive been there about 6/7 times now and its by far my favorite place. Brilliant food, wine, mountains, sea, beaches………..etc. I took the mountain bike once, done lots of diving there and ridden my motorcyle there twice – flipping fantastic. If you go, try out the canyonning – whoa is that ace. They also hire out DH bikes, but not tried them yet.

If you need more info PM me. Im off there again very soon.

    Cheers.

I know Sartene!! Went there in 1980's as a wee lad and visited the area a few times since. Nicely villages, nice people and fab beaches. I reckon with some local knowledge the riding would be awesome. Super rocky and technical. Bit too hot mid summer though.
