Pump people full of enough fear, there’s a peado on every corner, the governments coming to get you, white hates black and vice versa and sprinkle on a big helping of machismo and you have a recipe for disaster.

The police have guns, so the criminals get guns, so the police get bigger guns, so the criminals strike first. The people caught in the middle so they go and buy something with no training in how to be responsible and then the kids start shooting each other/themselves. Middle class people stop listening to their kids because they both have to work, self hate and mental instability kicks in because they think they’re different or bullied or whatever, so they take an AR-15 to lunch.

I was a responsible shooter for 15 years, a responsible gun owner for 5, I never shot anyone. I never flouted the law. I’ve probably broken more laws driving and had 100% more near misses that could have ended up in someone being injured. Most of these because people won’t even take the responsibility to use indicators or I haven’t taken responsibility to think they might not be turning after all.

Blame the guns……that’s easy
Blame the gun shops or the laws, that’s really easy
Blame the criminals, blame the police, blame the nutters, the Trumps or whoever.
At the end of the day, everyone else is to blame and that’s how it will always be

Surely this is a never ending argument, car drivers think cyclists are only there to hold them up and cyclists think car drivers are aggressive.

The A8 (i think, goes past the Airport) into Edinburgh is similar, paths either side but there are always cyclists who prefer to use the road. It’s one of the busiest roads in the area, especially during rush hour. There seem to be so many roads that are in no way designed to accommodate cyclists but it seems that some people will put their own lives in danger to prove a point

Surely a petition to upgrade the cycle paths would be prudent here.

A guy posted his review the other day, and while he said it wasn’t bad, while it tried to portray the lead characters as strong women in charge, it had the opposite effect on the male characters painting them all as either dumb or dicks.

In the original, all the female characters were not just damsels who needed saving, so casting 4 female characters as the ghostbusters is hardly ground breaking. I don’t really understand why the casting of actors and sctresses now has to come with a caveat of “breaking new ground” or having some moral crusade behind it.

I would have preferred a continuation of the franchise with four women taking over rather than re-booting the same story with tired jokes and four sterotypes of women. (The overweight bolshy one, the mousy plain jane, the shouty black woman and the tom-boy geek)

#alllivesmatter may be used by racists or tea party supporters, but as far as I know hashtags aren’t copyright of any one group. The message remains the same.

You can come up with a statistic that favours one group over another, and someone will be along to point out the flaw in the numbers.

White, black, Asian, Hispanic, Martian, everyone of these groups will have a few spangles that think they’re put upon by whatever other group and we end up in a fight fire with fire situation like this.

As usual the real issues are never dealt with, racial profiling, police brutality, gun culture, segregation from all sides. We’ll be lucky if an answer is ever found in our lifetime
