Cars are like accountancy – I understand that some people find them interesting, it just escapes me.
Well thanks for going out of your way from your full and exciting life to post about how little that interests you. Not enough football threads? Brussells sprouts? Yeah, go on why not?

Thinking of trying a DE razor but they all look very bulky. How do you shave the bit under your nose?

..or at the other end of the scale, the Tefal 8-in1 multi cooker
Slow cooker with keep warm facility, rice cooker with timer, porridge maker with timer, steamer. Not had it long, but the rice bit is great – going out, got last night’s curry in the fridge, rice ready for 7 O’clock beep beep beep.

Lamb shoulder, garlic, rosemary, new potatoes, onion, tomato, covered in chicken stock. No pre cooking or browning, just in the cooker and left all day. Served with crusty bread.

Oh and get ready to come home to a house that smells amazing

A tin of beans, cooked to within an inch of its life, with about 1/2lb grated strong cheddar sprinkled on top.
hefty dose of chilli sauce added to the beans. in fact, just to be sure

You’d have two routes in – Linn O’ Dee car park near Braemar, head north, over the bridge at Derry Lodge, well marked path, 10-12 miles IIRC. Or from Aviemore.
The Linn O’Dee path easily cyclable, from Aviemore it’s longer but I believe just as cyclable. From Aviemore you could base yourself at Glenmore Lodge.
Avienore – Braemar (the path running up and down the map) is called the lairig an laoigh and it’s an established walk – old drove road

FWIW I did 2 winters in Aberdeenshire and didn’t bother with winter tyres. Don’t think you get them to fit a Kawasaki GT750. Still, I suppose fitting them’s probably easier than learning to drive to the conditions

Citizen pro master Aqualand – assuming he actually wants it for diving rather than fashion. It’s a bit over budget but will provide dive log useful data.

If it’s for diving, he wants a dive computer. Simple watch is for backup so you don’t have bail out of a dive because the computer packs in. That being the case, simple is best. Chunky rotating bezel, good luminosity on the hands, long stretchy rubber strap

    1 years sub to Dive magazine=around £35
includes a choice of free gifts, one of which is an Apeks dive watch

or, £85 from Simply Scuba gets you “the ultimate diving watch. It has a tough stainless steel bezel and mineral glass for fantastic strength and a helium escape valve which opens when the internal pressure is higher than the external pressure”

i travel around a fair bit for work and really notice the corpulence increase as soon as you leave London.
seems to go hand in hand with the prevalence for middle aged men to keep wearing teenage clothing right through their adult life.
i guess its just a provincial affectation that’s the norm outside the capital.
    Quite, no chubbies here

Based on that they left a bike on my doorstep and forged a neighbour’s signature on “proof of delivery”, I wouldn’t use them if they were free

Lockup was broken into. Unable to start the bike, the fekkers got the petrol tank open and made off with the petrol.
