The journey is the destination. I regularly head up that way for no other reason than the drive/ride, So switch off and enjoy the rolling scenery

I love Scotland, so am biased.
As you say, weather could be cak, meaning a holiday here could be a couple of weeks stuck in camper van listening to the steady drum of rain on roof,
BUT, if the weather’s in your favour, you’ll see stunning scemery, gorgeous sunsets (and sunrises if you get up early enough) and long, long days.

So, of your options, Scotland’s either the best or the worst, depending on the weather.

As qualified as a homeopathist is to talk about medicines.

So not at all then? But if you’re going to discuss this with someone who believes in homotherapy/crystals/black magic, why not take an unfunny “comedian” as a starting point, that’ll strengthen your argument no end

Tim Minchin is an Australian musician, composer, songwriter, actor, comedian and writer. He has been performing his unique brand of musical comedy in front of appropriately excitable and ever-growing audiences since starting out in South Melbourne’s Butterfly Club in 2005.

Qualfied to comment on homeopathy then?

    EDIT
Then again, isn’t Mr Minchin’s brand of comedy homeopathic – delivered in such small doses it doesn’t really have any effect?

I smoked. I stopped. It wasn’t luck. It was trying diffferent things till i found the thing that worked.
If you wnat to stop enough you will, if you don’t, you won’t. It’s that simple. making it more complicated just gives excuses to fail. “I’m going to try to stop” or “I’m going to stop”

    Smoking and fertility
Not to mention that, having watched a loving parent coughing their blood up whilst plugged in to tobes and masks, a child might not be inclined to inflicting that on their own children.

It’s partly cool because you are being told not to do it

Like drrunk driving? You’re told not to do it so it’s cool? I must have missed that.
And if you want to give up, it’s not about luck, it’s about having eough of a reason to want not to die a slow ugly death.

    I hated living in Aberdeen.
Do you need to live in a city ot just ne near enough one to get the city vibe? I left Aberdeeen for Stonehaven and loved it. Ok, way not a city, but a short train or bus trip (weekend last bus back was 2AM), and even a taxi back wasn’t too bad

    Loved Glasgow though

I also really like adding seeds etc to the outside which you can’t do with a bread maker.

For those that find lifting the lid and chucking some seeds in too difficult

+1 for the Eye. Also, have a look at the Tower Bridge exhibition, I’d love to see the engineering.
St Paul’s – climb to the top for stuning views and the whispering gallery should keep the kids entertained for a few minutes. London Dungeon’s cool with plenty of scary sh*t. water taxi to greenwich, wander around, walk back. Water taxi from Richmond to Camden Lock. Science Museum has bucket loads of sciece-y toys for kids to play with

    What is this PCP thing?

It seems to be a way for people to say they want to buy a new £30k car to end up with a car that isn’t new, doesn’t fit the original spec and is worth considerably less than £30k, but still costs £30k.
handy way to think you’re impressing the neighbours though

We took one for a short break (3 or days) from trevor on the llangollen canal. Wasn’t that expensive bearing in mind that beds and fuel are ncluded. Straight out over the Pontcysyllte aueduct which was the most amazing thing. A coule of nights tying up at some fine canal-side pubs and one remote stop at he the Meres near Ellesmere. I’d do it again.

Click on the About Tea link for descriptions of types and how to brew.[/url]
There’s a lot of tea out there and you’ll need to try a few types, including blends, to find what you like. Assam and my local tea/coffe shops Breakfast Blend work for me.

You think THAT’s evil? pshaw, you should visit the Walkers bakery shortbread shop (seconds section) which not only sells massive bags of chocolate shorbread for next to nothing but it’s in Aberlour, so surrounded by distilleries so you;ll probably be pretty hammered by the time you get there.

Is that better or worse than sneering at people’s clothing choice on an internet forum? I can’t tell, help me out.

Well you don’t get the awesome smugness that you get from letting the world know of your brand-free existence, before reeling off a list of branded goods you own and why they don’t count.
