This is a shavette. Not a very many name I agree.
It’s an open razor but he “blade” is actually a grip which holds half a DE blade. Cost about a tenner from my local shave shop. Really close shave and particularly good with afew days growh – you just need to take your time on the fist few shaves (which I didn’t).

Did think about sprays, powders etc, but this meant climbing a ladder at the top which was a wasp’s nest. And then I was going to destroy their home and kill most of them which would piss me off. A lot.

I once had a dream that I was a comedian, on stage, telling jokes. One of the jokes was so funny I started laughing, the way you’re not supposed to when you’re on stage. And I couldn’t stop. The joke was so funny I laughed so loud I woke myself up and was still laughing when I woke up.
Another time, I was in the future. Not far, like next week or so. I knew I didn’t belong there and would return to normal time, but knew that all I had to do was check the racing results or football scores then put on a couple of accumulators when back in normal time. Picked up some papers, and could I focus on the words?
Back to normal time/woke up – foul mood all day.

IIRC wholemeal is just a heavier flour and the only way to lighten it is mix in some white, which probably isn’t what you wanted to hear but I might be wrong,

camera obscura’s ace, so is mary kng’s close, and they’re only a couple of minutes apart. if the castle’s free ( which it is from time to time) it’s worth a visit for the views, but not worth whatever stupid amount of money they normally charge.

Picked up a Rab soft shell for about £90 from the cheap rail at Go Outdoors. Always worth a look and I don’t think their cheapest of the cheap deals are on line

Aldi were doing Glenrothes Select Reserve recently, local one still has a few bottles left. Light, smooth, no smoke.
Auchentoshan also turns up on the cheap shelf from time to time, Triple distilled which really smooths it off.
On a trip to Oban, I visited the distillery and picked up a bottle and it was lovely. Never seen it anywhere else, but worth looking for. Very lightly smoked, a hint of salt, but without phenolic overtones of the islands
Also worth checking out is Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban – Glenmorangie which spends some time in port casks which gives it a sweet, chocolatey finish.
