Here we go this is how it looks. So I think it’s maybe an older design, to me it looks like the key locks the mount in place.

I need that mount off to fit the smaller mount we have.

I think so yes DC as I need to remove the standard steerer mount and fit the smaller thin one I have. To be honest I’ve only gone by looking at it but I’m assuming the lock locks the end of the mount to the back of the mount… I may be wrong. Either way can’t seem to get the thicker bracket off.

I’ll find some instructions and report back!!

I have the grey ones, I have long legs and they do come up short and usually ride upto my calves on XC type rides which is what I predominantly did before we had little un.

I’d say if you have big calves depending on the size you may find them a bit of a squeeze but they are elastic bottoms so should stretch to accommodate. Nobody else sounds like they’ve had issues with not fitting valves though

Thanks to Zerocool I’m finally able to tow him!
What a problematic journey it’s been just to get child along with us on a bike!

The industry needs to wake up and there is definitely a gap in the market to create a supported seat pre “shotgun” age that fits a modern MTB with not a lot of stack height!

My 46mpg A3 TDI 185 sline is compliant

My missus’ Astra 55mpg CDTI isn’t… I know it doesn’t go from MPG but was surprised hers that I’d expect to be better on fuel would be better emissions, clearly not

Sadly the option is, spend the money once. We had the same issue. Took the advice here and £100 later 3 TP Link Deco’s have transformed the wifi. Now anywhere in the house we have no issues. Two downstairs and one upstairs 👍

Ahh something I may possibly be able to help with. So I bought a 2014 plate A3 in the summer a few years ago, asked them to make sure the air con was working. No issues, came to winter and one side wouldn’t warm up at all!

So to fix this it was Audi that replaced the flap motor under warranty, only issue was the part was £70 and the bill was over £1000 as it needed the full dashboard out! So it’s possibly the fan motor stopping the AC working I wonder?

Not sure if it works the same for cold as well as heat but just thought I’d mention it

As an update, I just can’t get the weeride to work!

So I bought the only stem with a much smaller depth being the DMR one, then bought the steerer adapter for the weeride and it all seemed to fit however the headset was then loose and didn’t get as far as to trying to actually use it as nobody rides a bike with a loose headset!

Looks like the Thule yepp mini they do a very slim bracket so going to look at that. Any recommendations and has anyone used?

Thanks it confirmed my suspicions! The big one was “factory shop closing down sale” , I googled the factory shop and it was far from closing down 😂

As echoed though these people put alot of time into these things, I do query if it is a scam as such or just knock of gear you’ll get. Or just a drained bank account?

    Hi all,

Hoping to re-ignite this thread again regarding axles compatible with the Burley.

I saw there were even a few people saying they had one to sell so wonder if that’s still the case?

Also to help others hopefully, I was scoffing at the price of the official burley one, so found that MWay do one for a fraction of the cost for a maxle style axle at £16! Should be delivered on Tuesday and will see if it fits the Capra!

That didn’t fit her FS bike so wasn’t sure if anyone had one? I believe it’s the Shimano style one too

    Many thanks

As an update (and thank you so far) vacuumed, enzyme cleaner, getting a wet vac on it next and had a holts odour bomb delivered. Last time I smelt, it didn’t smell of milk anyway it smelt like someone was trying to get rid of the smell of milk with a chemical cleaner 😂

    we continue!

Thanks so I’ve covered the area in the car and the back bench seat in baking soda and will leave it like that for a few days. Also bought some enzyme cleaner to after that give it a good dousing then we’ve been offered a wet/vac is required…. Tbh she’s getting rid of the car quite soon but can’t have it honking like it is… worse case scenario then douse the leather (as it has holes in) with equal parts water and white vinegar and then literally rinse the thing to death once it’s broken down any milk left over and give it days to dry out… nobody sits there anyway, just the young lad and he’s in a baby seat! In the mean time my car’s getting some miles on it so sooner I sort it the better 🤣

Hahaha wow what a lot of interesting advice, some more useful than others as I’m sure you’ll agree 😂

have been in touch with a pro valet company who are booked up so if I can figure out how to get the bench seat out of an Astra J I’m going to attempt the baking soda approach and a wet vac…. Sadly even following online guides can’t get the seat out from the front fixings… so more googling required!

the “leave keys in the car and hope some scrote takes it” as well as “just burn it” made me laugh though thank you.

Taking it to fort bill world champs soon too, would take my Audi but hers is bigger! Sod!

Ahh some good deals, does anyone rate the Garmin edge 530? That’s a good price for £160 on there. I know there’s an 830 too but can’t see that as a deal at all. Have seen the comparison vids, it’s more to replace my old Garmin touring that doesn’t even have Bluetooth 😂

What a brilliant stage to watch, when Vinge was asking them to work with him and nobody bit. But why would they?

Some great tactics today and I NEARLY even got out on the roadie this evening 😂 , maybe tomorrow!

Love Pog’s style on the bike though, his standing sprints look so good, one of these days he’ll snap a bar from side thrusts-maybe!

Yes, I bought a desktop a while ago pre-used with SSD and enough Ram. Recommended my brother to buy a laptop from them too and he’s been impressed too.

    The seller was Birmingham-av

They basically sell old corporate machines that have been upgraded for a great price. If you’re not after the very latest then they’re good enough!

Cut out coffee or tea? Nooo way, if I go a day without either oh that headache is just awful!

I know what this means but I don’t go over the top, I think today I had one coffee and one tea. At most I’d have 3-4 during the day…. Interesting how it made a positive impact to your day which is great to hear. I tend to not get addicted to anything and always have anything in moderation so think that keeps me on an even keel. I do love a good coffee though!

Just thought I’d provide an update, trousers arrived quickly. Not had a chance to ride with them yet but they’re long enough for the gangly legged like me, will fit slim-ish pads under and all in all look and feel comfy…. Vented back of the knees but aside from that don’t have too many features to be wowed about, however the other pant with the protective panels may be worth a shot for the sheer tough looking nature of them. For £60 can’t say no really…

The old episodes are brilliant, the one where the morphing thing ended up on the ship and could change into anything that was around it. Turned into underpants which Lister tried on then tried to squeeze him to death as they tightened to death!

I mean there are so many great scenes, too many but that’s one I remember well 🤣

That photo of them either side….. what did you do?
We have a good bridleway route we can do from home but one stretch (the only way) has cows on a riverbank….. if they’re in there we’re not continuing.

I did try one time riding towards slowly going HEEEYAAAAAA COW, the front cow just stood and looked at me. I’m sure I heard him mutter under his breath “ha this joker”

Anyway when it made no difference we turned around and made our ride longer!

🤣 I don’t really need them but the decathlon ones I have that everyone got although fit fantastically they do ride up a hell of a lot. Especially for enduro type riding! My Dharco’s aren’t alot longer, my royal waterproofs are just that. So I’m hoping these are nice and light but fairly well made and a good length too so we’ll see

Oh that’s the only issue! The dubbing, you have a soigneur screaming for joy in French and the dubbing so muted from an English man going “yes great” in the most unemotional fashion. Don’t understand why the dubber couldn’t give it some oomph!

Purple and yellow tube whatever it’s called. Happy enough with it.

Can I go one stage further and ask… does anyone “maintain” that area so there’s less chance of chafe?

I especially find on my roadie even with chamois cream on I get sore in the direct contact area, which may also be a combination of not a lot of riding on the saddle for a while and not the right saddle/fitment

Really good, really enjoying it too! Just yesterday watched the Pogacar VS Vingegaard (well his team) battle. Some of the finest racing I’ve ever seen on the tour

I also used to watch his videos, he seemed like a nice bloke and a true ballsy calamity on a bike but entertaining to watch.

Nowadays it seems he just wants to fight anyone who’s up for it, seemingly attracts the wrong type of person on occasions and has now put his phone number and address on his video asking for people to please man up and come fight him… rather than ignore the critics it seems the he’s been consumed by any hate in the comments.

Quite a strange turn of events and if he’s getting money from watches fair enough, but yes not my cup of tea now. Someone needs to lend him a DH bike and get him to twisted oaks  with a gopro 🤣

Can’t talk about Paris but we’ve stored out bikes in a campanile before about 1hr from the tunnel (I forget the name) . The spiral staircase were a nightmare with my Capra to get upto the room but still possible!

Oh that’s superb thank you very much for the advice and information. We’ll look into both of those, we also ride roadies so that’s an interesting option too although if it’s roadie territory I can imagine it’s hilly is it? With us having our little one only two in October we’re both not terribly bike fit 🤣

So I got some for when I’m the office and wanted similar to AirPods without the silly price. Anker soundcore and I’ve been blown away by the quality! Noise cancelling a never going to be stunning for £50 but they’re good and the sound from them is excellent with some great deep bass but treble doesn’t suffer!

We’ve just had builders finish who have been here for 3.5 months, they didn’t once ask to use the toilet.

However we did wonder where they were going to the toilet, we found out after just observing time to time. Piss behind the garage in a patch of soil and clearly number 2’s in a toilet in the back of a van/petrol station down the road.

Ok not ideal peeing behind or garage but prefer that over them coming into the house as they were doing very messy work!

If you really want to stay local in Harrogate, there’s the river Nidd, can ride along that which is boardwalk and there are bits where you can limb then do some off piste descents.

My friend and I when he lived over there, used to go. You can make a good ride of it

The only motivation you need for Boltby is it’s bloody brilliant, the year I did it I absolutely loved it! The tracks were mint. Challenging and a real test of skill, the whole atmosphere was great and I’m sure it’s only got better.

Plenty of climbing but it’s for the descending so it’s all good. I fell off on the loamiest corner I’ve ever hit too and brother careered into the back of me, such a laugh! 😂
