Oh Jesus you can take a powerkite and shove it up where the sun doesn’t shine….. so she got me one last year and couldn’t figure out for lover nor money why the damn thing wouldn’t stay in the air…. do they need EXTREMELY windy days or should for example 20mph winds be enough? It looked spot on but up in the air it’d just keep dropping…. so it got stuffed in the shed and forgotten about!

    Would she be into foraging?
I got mine a via Ferrata experience and then decided I’d have to do it too reallly…. Covid hit so I’ve got away with that for another 6 months I reckon!

Funky leggings for working out if she does?
    Jewellery off Etsy?
Sort of thinking outside the box really…. what would make life better for her when you do things?
    Does she cycle? Upgraded kit?
Sometimes the item doesn’t even need to be fancy, just something that makes life better… put it this way my 5’3 fiancée won’t need to borrow my 34L waterproof trousers anymore (non biking ones) !
Rituals do nice smellies too, and a car air freshener in different scents?
    Pottery workshop?
    Just a few ideas…

Have you gone into the accounts and essentially removed any sync’d devices? So a bit like with things like Facebook you can remove old devices that previously had access. You’ll have to probably go deep into the security settings

That was an absolutely ace watch, love the costumes and the lights, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do!

What I love even more is that’s Dalby and I’d love to find that! Don’t expect you to say where it is but ridden a couple of those sections it looks like but you’ve found loads more than I knew existed!

Fair play I’d rather watch that than Matt Jones etc anyday… music absolutely Grade A too!!!

Sorry I hadn’t seen everyone else’s replies!! So we totally agree about discussing with the plumber but in short, he was an *expletive* very opinionated and we won’t be getting him back.

It was one of those Situ’s where we got a plumber round who was recommended to see what was needed and we expected £500 maybe, Bill ended up £2500 once taking into account of the hot water tank and fitting that was £1k. He convinced us but we never thought to ask about shower, he just suggested it as our previous system was being stretched as the house is two houses into one.

Really useful info, sounds like we need a mixer valve then. I think digital showers are out of the budget, but it’s certainly cleared up a bit what we need. We’ve gone for a 250mm shower head so that’s the main reason I’ve been asking about the pressure as the head has the capacity to dump alot of water out

Ahh it sounds like I might be in that case, the tank is a pressurised tank around 1.5 bar I think, it’s next to the bathroom and brand new. There’s also nothing in the loft.

It sounds like we might have enough pressure then in that case, it’s hard to know at the moment as we are using the downstairs bathroom and the upstairs we have never used as only moved in 10 months ago and it’s been a big renovation project. The bathroom is one of the last rooms for us to do And there’s no running water setup at all in that room

Can’t even begin to imagine, the brexit voters have caused us nothing but problems…..

Harder to get into Europe, probably more expensive too, more expensive to buy things in and I could continue….. my fiancée and I both sat down yesterday and said….. what we want to know are the benefits!
    List those….

Her folks have a place in France and we were regularly going on Europe breaks before COVID, no doubt we’ll still be able to, it’ll just be different.

Just can’t think of the positives…. if there are more Cornish pasties about I suppose that’s a good thing!

You’re right there! Hellman’s Mayo has it in, but I’ve found that lidl mayonnaise doesn’t have it in!

Got some big local butcher bought steaks for tea tonight so hoping a good amount of meat and raw flavour blows out this mess! Had to put a tissue in my mask earlier as my Nose was dripping into my mask!

What I wear with these is thin wicking socks and then the mid length thermal waterproof sealskinz and so impressed with them! No matter what the weather feet always warm and dry, socks soaked on the outside but bone dry on the inside!

Top tip is get some wicking socks underneath them, helps them feel like they fit a bit better as I found on their own they felt a bit rigid, perfect with wicking socks under though, nothing special just a pair of fox or Troy Lee summer type socks, so long as your sealskinz are longer than the under socks

Wow sounds similar to me, I wouldn’t mind but I must’ve gone a month without issues and just recently it’s been bad! Annoys me when I look at knorr stock cubes and it just says “natural flavourings” !!

Thought I’d add n for this too, just got the L and keeping them!

I’m about a 35” waist and 34 in the leg and really impressed with these! Not ridden in them yet but got the fox enduro pads underneath and as id expect they have a race type fit to them, fit nice and snug at the ankles and as per the fashion they come down to the ankles and no longer… anyone who wants nice long trousers that fully cover your ankles that bunch up at the bottom won’t want these, but it’s what waterproof socks are for-to bridge that gap! Looking forward to getting on a ride with them. Was always planning on either some royals, 50/01, pinned attire, fox or something similar but very impressed for the price! They’ve got 3 left in large and more in bigger sizes for anyone interested now. Will review once I’ve had a ride in them!
All I have are fully waterproof royals so far so will be keen to see how these do in the slop too!

Will have a look into all these suggestions, today went downhill… no ideas what’s caused it but out for a walk with friends and got caught out only having one tissue, had to blow my nose on the inside of my hoodie! Absolutely minging, even side snotting wouldn’t help! Just popped a Benadryl at 3pm so will see if that has any effect, none whatsoever so far, only thing that helps is stuffing up bits of tissue up each nostril and waiting for them to be replaced every 5 mins!
Having a real good look at what has been in the last few days meals…

Frustratingly though I can’t see anything about the ingredients to suggest something that the veg stock cube has bad items for me in it….

    chrisyork

Jesus well it seems I’ve been hit by it again…. forgot to mention most vegetable stock cubes use paprika too… made tea yesterday and all we had was a left over hello fresh veg stock packet, checked the ingredients and all seemed okay.

All is not ok, lots of sneezing today and right nostril either wanting to run or both feeling like they’re throbbing…

Antihistamine taken so should be fine by morning…. it’s the most frustrating thing but that’s all I can think has set me off is the veg stock powder.

Good job she’s a heavy sleeper as I’m sniffing a’plenty!

Thanks everyone it sounds like I’m not alone then, and yes I can’t eat any form of pepper at all, we thought it was tomatoes at one point but pleased to say that’s not the case and yes as has been mentioned we use mustard for a bit of heat and flavour in some dishes and yes sea salt and black pepper I’m fine with too.

Interesting to hear about ten acre crisps, when I find a brand of something that normally has paprika or peppers in and it doesn’t….it’s like I’ve struck gold! We shop at Lidl so that’s why it’s a ready salted only choice…

I’ll look up that intolerance, I’d definitely say it’s an intolerance rather than allergy, all it affects is my sinuses and it’s not uncommon to be sneezing 100 times a day or so if I get fully ‘paprika’d as I call it… was starting to get the symptoms last night around 4 so 6am took an antihistamine and it seems to have calmed down.

Outside for a few hours now putting up xmas lights so hopefully some fresh air will help too!

It is peculiar, as it’s made only come on since I was around 20 and now 35… but I now like mustard when I didn’t back then, I still don’t like sprouts though!!

Luckily my O/H is very understanding, as I also suffer from a dust allergy too, in a house with carpets for a day before covid? I’d start bunging up…

So it’s wood floors in our house aside from a few rooms and they’re kept well hoovered!

We’d all just be best off living in jungles like our ancestors many years ago, I bet these things didn’t exist!!

We were meant to be in a pod in Glentress this Friday for the weekend… as a 2nd attempt at a hol since covid hit… but coming from north yorks it’s a no-no as looks like travel between the border for non-essential is not allowed… that’s right isn’t it?

Same as sharkattack i WAS paying £8 pm for a giffgaff sim but when the phone gave up the ghost I after looking around decided I needed to buy a phone! So giffgaff do refurbished models so got an iPhone 8 128GB for £16pm over 2 years I think, then with the £8 pm for sim I’m paying £24 pm with what feels like a new phone and great sim.

I don’t think Laura should have gone through, I really don’t…. nearly all the time her flavours were really good but she just couldn’t execute to the level needed.

Very confused by that semi final result!

Peter to win, when he’s on form he really is good! In cooking quality and execution…

I have the Royal Storm in Large… i can tell you my fit. I like my trousers nice and tight and I’m about a 35” waist, and I can pull them fully tight. I would say someone with a 33 waist they’d just drop down. They’re a proper fit though, anyone who wants trousers wider at the base doesn’t want these, these are tight so they don’t catch your chainring, well designed! My fox enduro pads fit under, slightly tight but still enough give, got them for £70 last time they were on offer too!

Yes you can, we had our bikes stolen, road bikes were replaced like for like but my MTB was a transition scout and anything they offered I basically said wasn’t what I wanted so I got cash (money transferred)

USB to VGA monitor adapter for the second monitor. Don’t skimp on a cheap one, sometimes the drivers are very poor. £10-15 should probably get you a good enough one.

Or tbh best to just buy a new monitor as they really aren’t dear now, Black Friday!!

Really interesting read this, my work colleagues all advised to invest and all made a good amount, I decided to much later when I felt confident I knew enough and then like that it crashed….

I’ll be keeping my eye on this thread and there’s been some good advice, I was thinking of buying when it was low but didn’t, I probably will do next time though after reading the advice and tips here

Just Fitness bands, I’m into week 5-6 and haven’t used any weights. It essentially uses your body as the weight and it’s so well structured that you’re never thinking you want to do more… essentially you start off with 3 different exercises, repeat those 3 times around 12-15 reps each time. Then after that a short rest then into another 3 exercises. Followed by a final two one after each other and those are the ones that really make you feel glad to finish!

The best thing is the next time you do it you’re not doing the same exercises but totally different ones but these work different parts of your body so you’re never exercising an area that’s recovering. The aim is to do three sessions a week. Out of 7 days that’s pretty good and the results do show!

I am actually battling to do the bike intervals though as we’re currently doing up a house and struggling to get the time. But the way I see it is exercise is better than none and even to do one 20 mile ride a week as well as the fitness is going to yield results, just maybe not as much as someone religiously sticking to it.

My advice is go for it, there’s videos for every exercise too and they’re literally organised in the plan where you click on what it is and it takes you straight to the video.

Ahh yes you’re right, I was mistaken as I’ve got the same. Nearly went for the Bi-turbo but it was too high mileage so went for the 2.0 160bhp vxline in red.
    Good luck!

We’re doing exactly the same with our doer upper house, we sanded back the doors (all 20 of them) ha… then used a grey primer, zinsser rings a bell, then used furniture paint in stiffkey blue. It’s not a new kitchen but from a Distance the look is great with brushed silver knobs!

    Good luck

I felt like god the other day, I re-assembled an IKEA wardrobe that was taken down years ago… this sounds like not alot but when you have random wooden bits and long metal bits that lock into place with other bits it can be quite a mental task.

    I feel for you!

I remember when I woke up the next day thinking surely we’d be remaining in the EU to find that Brexit won, I can see somehow the same happening here. I hope trump gets massively embarrassed.

Aha another fellow Astra J owner! Hope it doesn’t end up costing alot, I think they’re such good cars for the money. 150ps TDCI is the one I’d say, 6 speed gearbox and cracking on juice!

When he broke the bike he landed ALOT further forwards so basically missed his landing i reckon! He’s done it before an landed it like a peach…. it’s an easy way to get a new bike for sure.
Get your mates to film it, knowing you might hurt yourself and then whack a gofundme up and see who falls for it.

There’s a church opposite me, might just huck it off the first floor roof… being honest only Sam Pilgrim would probably actually do that!!

I won’t be donating, parents get him a bike and he does that with it? The black drop there is big enough. Also he’s got a fullface which is good to see but they aren’t necessarily cheap.
Leeds is local to me and massive kudos for having the kahuna’s to try that but that was never going to end well taking a bike that old and sending it like that…

Can you get kneepads With room under the decathlon ones? That’d be my only concern, I’ve got royal waterproof ones and they’re rideable but a bit tight for my slim fox enduro kneepads
