I’ve pretty much given up after Robert Sheehan left. Is it worth carrying on for the rest?

Another vote for gousto over hello fresh. I keep the best recipe cards for remaking. Only a few hello fresh meals made the cut.

Gousto works out a little bit cheaper too.

I’ve got a naturehike star river 2 also. It’s bloomin’ brilliant!
Paid 145 for it from Amazon.

    Taylor’s Eye Witness Chantry

Got one of the original chantry ones that we got on clearing out a relative’s old house. It’s brilliant. Easiest and most consistent sharpener I’ve used. It’s less aggressive than those suction cup anysharp ones.

Love his videos. No CAD there. Just cardboard and ply cutouts.

When he does the counterweight part by eye. Of course it ends up perfect 🤣

Have a look at the Oakley DRT5 helmet that has the sweat gutter thing. I’ve not tried it yet myself, but I’m tempted when I need to replace.

I’ve always wanted one. I love one piece sports gear. Kayaking dry suit, ski thermals and suit. It’s just so much comfier and warmer.
Wash gentle cold wash with just water, then occasionally tech wash or soap flakes.

Red Rising series by Pierce Brown

Ernest Cline. Ready Player One and Armada are both good. Ready player two coming out in November.

Wool by Hugh Howey was a good one. Slow start but very good. Also not really sci-fi now i think about it. But will leave it in.

Moelwyn Bach, Moelwyn Mawr, Cnicht. Will all be very quiet. Cnicht has a nice ridge that points out towards beddgelert direction. Good views out over the sea and llyn peninsula

I’ve got some Acepac stuff from bearbones website. Really good quality. The handlebar harness in particular is brilliant.

I got an Elite I-Sit from 2ndhnd. Really good condition. It looks pretty similar to the Vitra chairs mentioned a while back. Was £150

Only issue is non adjustable lumbar. Only backrest height.

Chromebook will not render video. I have a Chromebook. It’s good for 2 things. Battery life and web browsing. If you want to do anything else it’s a pain. The file management is rubbish.

MacBook air/pro fulfils your requirements including USBC.

Dell XPS uses USBC. I’ve got one with an 8th gen i7. Really like it. Nicely made.

Asus Zephyrus g14 would be my choice when buying now.

Just stick desk mat on Amazon. Loads of different designs. 900 x 400 is a popular size and plenty big enough.

I always end up with those in my helmet riding down country lanes with tall hedgerows.

They don’t taste great either 😩

I always used to use the zip tie method. Load of zip ties in the grip. Slide it on the bar. Pull the zip ties out one by one.

Just make sure it’s all super clean and dry.

The only thing I’ve used that boils faster than a jetboil is an MSR Reactor. Similar design so everything connects. But the burner is completely different. Almost completely windproof and alot more powerful than a normal burner style.

    Sadexpunk… This one… ? https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/p/21720/lambs-spiced

If so, it has a lower alcohol content of 30 percent compared to the 40 odd of kraken. That could be it?

As you need to ask this question…

    how do you get in?

… please join a club or find someone to take you out and teach you some basics. Kayaking even on flat water can get you in some tricky situations if you don’t know what your doing.

Shimano Deores has micro leaks from the caliper seals in a very short space of time.

I have had the same experience. Tried several Deore, SLX and Zee. All start leaking pretty quickly from both caliper and lever seals. Won’t be using them again.
Really considering paying the extra monies for Hope when the time comes. Slightly tempted to give Magura a go though.

I gave up with flipping etc. Use a rolling pin on a floured surface now. I just roll it a bit bigger than the pan and it easily fills the edges then.

Check sitting position. Migraines can be neck or upper spine related.

Would be worth checking the torque on the topcaps. My forks creaked really badly for ages from new. Till i found out the air leg topcap wasn’t much more than hand tight.

Torquing it up fixed it straight away.

They are slow and unexiting to paddle on flat water unless you’re actually doing some tricks. If you want to start using it properly with a deck and learning some tricks go for it.
Otherwise it will be slow, harder to keep in a straight line, and less comfortable due to reduced space and more aggressive sitting position.

The Sony xb900n are a cheaper version of the 1000xm3.

They sound amazing. They are quite bassy which I love. but that can be turned down in the app if you don’t want that much bass.

The touch controls are brilliant. And they’re super comfy. Got mine for about £120

Don’t get a chromebook…. you want an i3 or i5 intel processor or an AMD one, an SSD hard drive around 120GB or more and 8GB of ram

Why no Chromebook? OP only wants a surfing, email , and word processing machine. Chromebook does all these with ease without needing all the stuff you mention.

Buying a Windows machine, yes, I’d agree with you. But the point of a Chromebook is that it runs light so doesn’t need those higher specs. Don’t go with the bargain basement Chromebook, as build quality and screen tech will suffer, as with any laptop. But they’re great for what they do if they will do what you require.
