I don’t need new forks, but for that price I’m very tempted!

the chain splitter that comes on the Topeak Hexus

    This!

Brilliant chain splitter! I bought my hexus tool to just chuck in my bag but have been surpised by the chain splitter actually working unlike the many others I have tried.

Had an old Karcher jetwash we used for cleaning patios and the white painted house.

It had a nozzle that rotated in the end. Turned up to max power it would rip the tarmac up off the driveway! And not small chunks either. Scary powerful!

Jet washing is okay as long as you stand back and only give it a quick going over to remove the big chunks. Don’t do any fine work with it as it will destroy sealed bearings.

As with anything from Sweet, they seem to charge ridiculous monies! Not to mention they look just a tad fugly.

You see these sorts of discussions on every internet forum. We had one on a uni club forum in which everyone knew each other in real life. You just need to accept that people are prats on the internet when they know there are no immediete consequences for what they say.

Although persistent ramblings did end up with a decent headbutt from one member landing on another!

Are the smoke ones not too dark for riding in dark woods?

Padded shorts are a must for me.
A proper pair of riding shorts. I have Endura Singletracks

On top I have a long sleeve baselayer, then either a Rab softshell or a Mavic Gore-Tex jacket. The water proof I am slightly unimpressed with as it is not very breathable. I stayed drier and at a more stable temperature in my softshell.

Come summer I normally go with a thin long sleeve baselayer or compression top for some wicking action with a standard short sleeve t-shirt on top.

I posted a pair of wheels 1st class (I asked for parcel force but the blithering man behind the counter stuck the first class stamp on anyway).

    They arrived next day.

I bought one of those exact kits about a week ago to fix a stripped post mount in my fork’s lowers.

It worked a treat. Very easy to install and very sturdy.

As long as your current hole is longer (deeper) than the 8mm helicoil; it will be fine.

I think ‘brown pow’ Is a spin off from skiers claiming to shred ‘pow’, referring to powder (fresh snowfall).

Edit: Does this come in carbon??

After watching Mrs yunki give birth (again) last Thursday evening I can assure you that you will also have to watch women going through hours and hours of what is estimated to be the most painful ordeal in life.. a harrowing and utterly exhausting experience.. and that is just from an observers point of view..

    what about a Catholic Priest..?

Do you think that it only seems this way because you are her husband? I’m not accusing… It is a genuine question.

Would you view it from a different perspective if: A you were of no relation. B were also a woman?

Same with the nursing prof ie having to deal with blood, guts & death

Not quite true… You will become more tolerant of it and get used to seeing and smelling it all.

As a midwife it will be poo, little bit of blood and generic ooze. You get all this working in a primary school as well as having to deal with the annoying kids :P

I have been thinking about getting one for a while to replace by standard Fabia. But I can’t help but think it will be a better idea to get an estate of some sort what with my current one spending most of its time as a van with the rear seats folded down.

Got a friend with the same engine in a golf and its damn quick!

Is the RCT3 just the rebound unit? Or is it a completely new damper for 2012? If the latter, how does it compare to Blackbox?

I disagree. My fox 32 with a proper QR instead of a 9mm bolt feels like a pair of noodles!

    chrisdw

Im currently in the process of changing my forks because the steerer is too short for my new frame, but I would never have replaced them with another QR fork because even when shifting down from a 9mm bolt, they felt terribly flexy.

New forks have a 15mm! Definitely go for a bolt thru!

Hammering a slightly bigger torx head in is definitely the easiest way to do this!

Had this happen on a number of occasions. Just make sure the new bit is properly hammered in so it doesn’t round off even more of the bolt. Be prepared to replace the bolt afterwards

Its a tuning company for bike suspension

You send them your forks: They service and tune them to your bike/weight/riding style, and send them back to you.
