My son wanted to try Minecraft. The netbook is the only PC in the house powerful enough to run it.

my laptop doesnt run that! Even on lowest graphic setting its rubbish! I have a 2.2GHz pentium dual core and 4gb of ram too.

C&C Generals runs fun tho! That’s another awesome game!!

I only have Hope and CK headsets but none of them have that, the cups entirely cover th crown race

Not on the hope ones… it might look like it does because of the rubber seal, but hope actually has a little gap beneath this seal.

just use a srewdriver and mallet…

    Just got Google Drive.

Its a vast improvement on Dropbox IMO. For some reason I just didn’t get on with Dropbox.

It is essentially an improved Google Docs (stuff now stays in the folders you put it in) with a downloadable application which embeds a sync file to your computer. Just click and drag.

I bought a set of the wheels a few months ago.

They are actually a nice strong build for the weight. But the front hub bearings are cack (or at least one of them) I had sticking and grinding, I regreased and replaced seals, same again after two rides. Regreased with more of a better grease… Still rather rumbly.

No problems on the rear tho. Plus the freehub sounds awesome.

Go join a club, learn how to paddle a Canadian canoe properly. (Yes kayaks are more fun, but if you want your kids with you, this is the best bet)

Sit on tops are so very lame(Those pictures up there do look boring!)

But whatever you get, join a club, and learn how to paddle properly.

How good are you at fleeing?

Seriously though, there may be some running involved!

On an even more serious note. Go, but don’t camp. They really are relentless little sods. Cant get away from them. Going to bed at 1700 sometimes works, but you will still end up covered in nibbles.

Did an exped in Perthshire a couple of years ago and they arrive in giant clouds!

Lapierre! Having ridden one (the 920 frame with custom parts), they are incredible bikes. That Pendbox system they have is awesome.

Surely if you’re looking in that travel range you should be after the 575 rather than the ASR5 ?

The iridum-esque lenses that came with mine are really terrible. The colour changes pretty dramatically towards the edge of the lense. The other 2 lenses (yellow and plain grey) seem to be okay. I imagine I will end up using the yellow lenses most of time. Frames seem pretty good tho.

I ordered some white ones on the 22nd March. Arrived last week.

They seem damn good! They even have the Torx bolt that the Oakley ones have! Damn convincing!

Have a look at the Marmot Wave series.

As long as you get opposing zips. You can mix and match between the different bags. Get a 3/4 for the Mrs and a 2 for yourself. The 4 might be better as it will compensate for having an edge open to your chilly bag!

Edit: I have started taking a duvet as long as I’m with the car. So much warmer. Just make sure you have something warm underneath! No good having a warm bag if your lying on the floor!

Stick a wee hole in piece of paper. Look through it at arms length at a distant object.

Bring the paper right up to your face still looking at the object.

Now wink. Whichever eye you can still see out of is your dominant eye.

Much easier way of doing that…

Make a circle with your hands.
    Put at arms length.
With both eyes open, pick something and position it in the middle, then close one of your eyes, then the other. One of your eyes will have the object appear in the middle, the other at the edge.
The side open when the object is in the middle is your dominant eye.

Does anyone else find the spot doesn’t disappear completely, but flickers for the furthest part of its path?

Edit: Also It only works for me when I click on the link. Think the embedded version is too small.

Edit2: I have been looking at it for a while and I think its flickering after it disappears as if it is coming back into view again. So rather than having an edge to my vision. Its a spot near to the edge.

Tesco own works for me. Recently I have just had plain water in there and its been fine.

What are you cleaning the screen with and how often? You could be making it worse by doing this too often instead of just using some normal glass cleaner.

Also, give Rain-X a try. Brilliant stuff.

Was there a couple of days ago.

First time I rode it must have been about 3 years ago. Was on a downhill bike which didn’t help but was pretty good.

Went back again with my hard-tail after hearing about the improvements and it was awesome! Was a very wet day and we got completely soaked, but was one of the best days riding I have had for a long time! I miss a bit of mud! Don’t get much of it in North Wales where I live.

they’ve harvested all my personal data

I’m pretty sure all your software configs are saved within a backup on your computer hard drive? I guess it may also be on the ‘cloud’ associated with your account too? I have only got an iPod touch and only going from what I thought was happening on my frequent resets of this. (One of the first 2G’s and getting a bit ropey now.)

If I had the money I’d buy Apple every time.

    Stop confusing the guy.

The 456 is a great bike. Suits you perfectly… Buy it. I had one (As did a huge number of people on this forum).
If you don’t want to wait, spend more on the Blue Pig, or go and have a try on a Sub Zero.

You mentioned Gawton. Don’t just grab a bike and throw yourself at that place because there is some BIG stuff on those trails. Hook up with some people who know the trails and ride with them.

If you have too much sag it will just blow straight through the pro-pedal no matter what setting its at. Whack some more pressure in and give it another go.

Till you buy one of these….

    How old are you?

You mentioned you are only 5’3″

It really doesn’t make sense spending that much money on a bike for you to only grow out of it in a year.

+1 for the On One wheels

I have a pair of them now. All good and really well built. Come with all the adaptors for QR, 15mm, and 20mm

For the strength they are really light as well. I tend to be very hard on wheels and they are still holding up strong.

Plus mine have pimp gold hubs and nipples ;)

I really like how the iPhone works with notifications. Have you seen it with the upgraded OS with the pull down bar at the top?

I have an E71 at the moment and am rather looking forward to getting rid of it. With the exception of it’s awesome build quality.

If you are hard on phones, get yourself a few screen protectors so if you scratch it, you can just put a new one on.

Biggest one I have done is up to Drum Mountain behind Conwy NWales

Goes from sea level in Llanfairfechan to IIRC; 770m ish at the summit. Its all perfectly rideable with fitness being the main factor!

Went up there in the winter, there were large sections of path covered in sheet ice. Was scary coming down!
