Don’t bother with Uniroyal rain tyres. Good grip when they are new but wear out very quickly.

Got Dunlop sport response on the front atm, and they are good nice grip and wearing well after 10k. Just put some event tyres on the back on recomendation from local garage. And seem good after the few months they have been on. Certainly quieter than others i have had.

From experience. Never had any luck with rescue dogs. They have all had issues. Mostly in the head.
Had about 7 dogs. 2 were from puppy, one of which we still have, the other died a couple of months back, age 13.

All of the rescues ended up being rehomed. One bit the postman, one was very aggressive towards our dog. Talking massive bite holes right into her leg muscle. Others destroyed the house when we left. And another was impossible to toilet train. Tried for months. she came from a farm where she lived outside and we couldnt drill it into her that inside wasnt a toilet.

Both our puppies came from family’s pets that had had litters. Cost about 50 each. The first one we don’t even know what breeds she was. Bit of a Heinz 57. The one we still have is a sheltie border collie cross. She is lovely. But getting on a bit now.

    Tl;dr get a puppy.

Narrow wide is good. But not perfect. I have had mine a couple of months but I have dropped the chain 2 or 3 times now. Mainly on really rocky sections. Plus I’m not exactly a gentle rider.

But don’t throw your chain guide out yet. Give it a try and see how you get on with your riding style.

I have mounted mine with a go pro mount. But I hacked up one of the buckles and screwed it directly into the bottom of the light. Bit lower profile but does mean I cant adjust it. I just used up a couple of sticky pads getting the mount in the right place on my helmet.

I did it this way because I have a urge helmet and they are not endowed with a large number of vents. Sticking it on was the best option.

Were I to do it again, would probably do it your way.

Only 23.5 here which surprises me. We have had an 8kw and a 5kw stove going full blast all day.

It went up to 32 earlier with the doors all closed.

Someone posted a PSA for 2013 Marzocchi 55 RC3 Ti earlier.

I have some of the air spring ones and they are great. Can only imagine the coil ones are amazing.

Beauty and The Beast is my favourite.

Don’t care much for Up. Opening scene was touching. Rest of film wasn’t great, got bored of it quickly.

I have one of the On One mini tacks pumps. One of the farty ones.
Its was £8 and its brilliant. I have only used it twice as I ahve since gone tubeless. Always lending it out on rides tho. Still going strong

There is a pair of marzocchi 44 RC3 Ti forks in the classifieds at the moment.

Get them. They are awesome. (not mine)

Bolt through axles make a massive difference.

Fox arent all they used to be. They had a couple of iffy years. new stuff is okay, but bang for buck rockshox is the fork to beat nowadays. can pick up a coil sektor for 200 ish if you shop around.

So simple to service yourself and work great.

Good for a desk. Not so good for home as you can’t hold it to use it while its charging.

If you are a heavy perspirator. Don’t bother with membranes. Fine for walking, but biking just generates too much moisture.

In the end, a membrane is essentially a layer of plastic.

Some like neo shell is better if you are set on a membrane, but going for something like Howie’s ventile cotton jacket or a Paramo will prove much more breathable. Plus because neither of them use a membrane they are strong and any damages can be repaired with patches and a needle and thread.

Don’t go near paclite. I have one, yes its waterproof, but I often wonder if I’d be drier without it on.

If its for winter use; Paramo would be a good option. Its in the durable rather than cheap category. But its definitely durable.

Very breathable as there is no membrane.

It won’t be good in summer tho as they are warmer than your average waterproof jacket.

I use fairy liquid on a muc-off brush.

I know, I know… Shouldn’t use it on bikes etc etc

Been doing it for years. On brakes, on suspension so problems.

Foams up and seems to work as well as the fenwicks stuff.

Yeah the Strider looks pretty small. My old one looks between the two. It has an extra pocket on the strider.

Went to stone henge as kids. Lots of German people there on a coach trip.

My sister pipes up and says “Do German people have moustaches because they want to look like Hitler?”

Think the black box damping is model dependent. Not year. Think its the Race and possibly XX models that have black box.
    RCT3 came in 2013

In terms of axle just make sure its the right one. I’m pretty sure they still make them in 20mm axles.

I haven’t checked any of this. But have owned a couple of sets so did a bit of research when buying them.

Dual air is MUCH better than solo air. My solos Were hard to find a sweet spot between blowing through all the travel, and rock hard.
