Ordered it through my LBS. They aren’t in yet. But will be in the not too distant future! :)

I was sorely tempted by one of these. It does look fantastic.
I ended up going for one of those Mondraker Vantage frames that were on the homepage a while back.

I’ve put the new Polar M400 on my Christmas list.
Bluetooth. Waterproof. Dedicated cycling mode. Normal usb port – no silly docks.

Sounds like a winner to me!

Did you log into chrome? It generally saves them in the cloud.

That would be great. Means everyone enjoying the trails don’t have to see how miserable you are.

Its pretty good. And smells amazing.
    Good for stanchions too.

30ml really isn’t very much especially for a new tyre. I just squeeze loads in so there is a reasonable puddle. New tyres use up quite a lot just on the initial coating.

It does look good. Is that the 16″ frame?

I havent ordered one yet. Going on holiday in Jan with the bike so going to give the full sus one last bash before getting another hard tail. And this looks like the one! Or a Shan! But they are going to be pricy I’m sure.

    Rohan hilltop.

Or one of the red ones the French ski instructors wear. No idea where you’d get one of them or who makes them tho.

I have a Kongur MRT jacket which I like for the reasons you mention above.

I’ve been looking at these too. But by the looks of the geometry charts. The 2015 frame is shorter than the 2014 which is quite annoying. 605 – 615 ETT respectively for the Large frame.

I’m just shy of 6 foot but that length is making me look at the XL which seems a bit odd for someone not even 6 foot.

Get on money saving expert forum. There are loads of threads and guides on what to do.

Had one last month from parking eye. Sent a copy and paste appeal email that i got from the forum. Parking charge got cancelled,

Just check on the forums if there is anything that relates specifically to the issuing company.

Could the original frames take tapered forks?

Apparently the forestry work wont be affecting the enduro at Penmachno, so no worries there.

    At the moment. Marin.
Penmachno has some felling work on at the moment which cuts out, IMO, the best descents on the trail. All of Marin, as far as I’m aware, is open, and they’ve just done loads of work on it so its riding really well at the moment.

Joining them up is possible tho and makes for a good ride. If you grab a map you can do it with very minimal road use too.

The deore still have reach adjust. It just requires an Allen key.

I have both. They feel mostly the same. Slx don’t fade quite as much tho I assume because of the ceramic pistons.

^^ I have always had the opposite experience.

I normally buy small jerseys as many other companies make them pretty big. But the small troy lee was tiny.

But i’m tall ish and skinny so most of my issues were with length.

The rule I tend to use: If any part of your setup isn’t tubeless ready then it will need to be set up ghetto style.

With the non tubeless tyres you may find it will burp easier and be harder to seal.

So if you want a more reliable set up I’d say get some tubeless tyres.

Edit: But no reason not give it a go first. Nothing to lose! might just be a bit frustrating if you only have a track pump!

” but if completely soaked through it does still keep you warm.”

    ^^^
Well that’s not true. if down gets wey it almost completely loses its insulation properties. Synthetic fill like primaloft maintains warmth when wet. Down doesnt

Just tested my Jetboil Flash with 500ml of water at room temperature ish, came out the tap that hadnt been run in a while.

I used a Coleman Butane Propane mix canister.

It took 3:50 to get to a rolling boil. So not as fast as the MSR but a fair whack quicker than the BruKit. But I did pay twice the price for mine!

I’ve given up trying to stay waterproof these days

I have come to the same conclusion. With waterproof garments I end up just as wet from sweat as I would have been without, so I use insulating layers with a windproof on top.

L/S base layer, close fitting micro fleece and then the windproof in my bag if its needed. Can vary the thickness of the baselayer depending on how cold it is.

Merino socks and AM45 shoes on my feet. Gets a bit damp but stays warm. More than can be said for goretex boots.

Also have some dhb Roubaix bib tights for when its mega cold.

Just got some race face ambush shorts for a bit of extra weather protection.
